Let it SHIIIIIII-IIINE, Let it Shine....waltzing about in rude good health like we are all in an M&S ad

Welcome to the latest in our series of healthy eating threads (26 and counting)!

The emphasis is on health (which is sometimes rude when we get chatting frivolously, as is our tendency), and weight loss where desired. I obviously don't desire it enough, as I am the same weight as when I started, but some of our regulars are mere shadows of their former selves ...

Do come and sign in here if you are with us, or want to join in- all welcome.

We try a variety of approaches, and there is always a lot of support and quite a few laughs along the way. Shiney is the head honcho round these parts, and we do get to be regaled with her embarrassing stories before the rest of MN, so that's always a big draw

Join us if you will!

I need your opinions on this coat?

I would start a thread in S&B but everything is playing up

DEMlostandtiredDEMlostandtired · 28/10/2009 21:38

shiney, yes it is a bit paddington bear isnt it

hellsbelles · 28/10/2009 21:45

DEM - t/m will be better. I didn't mean that DS said he wanted another mummy - I was trying to give an example to show that children often say things that at that tiny moment in time may sound horrific ...but then the next minute/hour/day it's the opposite.

Vinny - I like it. The ASOS one actually looks better that the one Agnes has on (which seems to have something weird going on in the arm area )

Oh feck - must must must do work.

Cockavita · 28/10/2009 21:46

It doesn't do anything for me with the toggles, but I do like the style

DEMlostandtired · 28/10/2009 21:48

Hells, am just having a very paranoid day and very fragile. this is why i sometimes have to disappear and have a severe malfunction in the SoH department on some topics cocks. I too should be doing some work.

BiteOfFun · 28/10/2009 21:49

Sorry, but it looks like the model's bare arms are reaching round for a grope of Paddington's goolies, in my humble opinion...

Anybody fancy a giggle about a troll of yore, seeing as how the thread has already moved in a cockerly direction?

Hmmm, am not keen on the coat at all TBH. Not keen on the bare arm thing and the hood looks like if you had long hair, it could be annoying and get in the way?

Sycamore! I love you! Don't leave me with these fools ever again!

Syyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyc - have missed you loads

hellsbelles · 28/10/2009 21:59

DEM - I totally understand - when I am feeling o.k DS can say pretty much anything and I just laugh it off and because I do - so does he.

But if for any reason I'm feeling fragile I start questioning everything like that. Try if you possibly can manage it - not to take it to heart (what an old fashioned expression ) I have no doubt that he will soon be telling you how much he loves you (and then again another day you will be back to baddy again...) such is the mind of a four and half year old.

SycamoretreeIsVile · 28/10/2009 22:00

It's been too long.

I am ashamed.

And knackered.

And ill....still.

And overworked.

And 5 lbs heavier.

hellsbelles · 28/10/2009 22:01

oh dear - I am being outvoted 10/1! I really liked it!

Cockavita · 28/10/2009 22:02

Syc, sorry you are illing, ashamed, knackered, overworked and 5lbs heavier, but you are here - tis all that matters

BiteOfFun · 28/10/2009 22:03

Oh dearie- well, it's been pretty hectic for you, so not too surprised...you missed loads of argy bargy- we fell apart without you

SycamoretreeIsVile · 28/10/2009 22:04

So whassup then?

Are you all very very thin now or what?

I have been eating burritos for lunch. It is not good.

I have missed you all very much.

Cockavita · 28/10/2009 22:05
SycamoretreeIsVile · 28/10/2009 22:07

Argy bargy you say BOF? Fucking hell, I should have lurked. I could have done with some light relief.

I've been working 9.30 - 6.30pm, coming home, putting kids to be, working until midnight whilst DH cooks and feeds me.

My sister had an amazing birth story and I never got to tell it.

The new job is taking draining the life force out of me...but it will be worth it I think. Just so much to do to get things on track (bloody hell they needed me).

Cockavita · 28/10/2009 22:08

How is the nanny working out Syc?

SycamoretreeIsVile · 28/10/2009 22:10

Oh look, I forgot how to post. And type. And spell.

Head still feels like it's in a vice but I've almost done 4 weeks now and I think I can finally take the sick day I've been needing to take since day one.

Anyway, look at me barging on in like a feckin' month hasn't passed without sight nor sound of me.

There are lovely new people all around and I've not even introduced myself.

I am Syc, I used to crack the whip, then I got a new job and it nearly killed me.

Is that about the size of it?

SqueezyCheesyCock · 28/10/2009 22:11

Hey Syc

PMSL "are you all thin"

Yes, that's why we've had so much time to talk about the male nether regions
