Welcome to the latest in our series of healthy eating threads (26 and counting)!

The emphasis is on health (which is sometimes rude when we get chatting frivolously, as is our tendency), and weight loss where desired. I obviously don't desire it enough, as I am the same weight as when I started, but some of our regulars are mere shadows of their former selves ...

Do come and sign in here if you are with us, or want to join in- all welcome.

We try a variety of approaches, and there is always a lot of support and quite a few laughs along the way. Shiney is the head honcho round these parts, and we do get to be regaled with her embarrassing stories before the rest of MN, so that's always a big draw

Join us if you will!

shiney - mine are 12 and soon to be 3.

I love secret santa I dont mind trying to set it up - was thinking assigning the regulars a colour, and then each person can pick their favourite colour, and i will message you on FB (or i might splash out and join on here) and tell you who to buy for??

Is that how it works??

But, we should set a strict spending limit - the cheaper (or free) the better, so no one has any worries over spending money they havent got!

speaking of which, hope you get paid soon Shiney!

TrillianSlasher · 28/10/2009 11:30

www.elfster.com/ Try this for organising who send to who - I'm in.

I like the 'best present you can get for under £X' idea.

TrillianSlasher · 28/10/2009 11:30

Where X is very small obviously.

Lizzylou · 28/10/2009 11:30

Meant to say, great idea about Secret Santa, Jetcock.
Does it have to be healthy low fat shite stuff, can we have a break as it is Christmas??

SazZaVoom · 28/10/2009 11:34

Morning all, just running through as off to M&D's after lunch with the DD's

Sorry to hear of your money worries Jac, it all sounds crap tbh. How can they ever say a student loan is an income? . Hope you manage to speak to someone sensible at the Uni/CAB who can help you out. As others said, let us know the ages/sex of your DC;s as we will undoubtedly have something here of use

I'll be in Secret Santa, athough not sure if i have been accepted onto the FB group yet? Jet are you administrating the Shiney group? Initials SA and i sent a request a few weeks ago

SqueezyCheesyCock · 28/10/2009 11:40

Oh I've come over all queasy. Saz is that a pic of your c section on your profile?

Dunno how DH and I will ever be able to have a baby. Getting it in is the (hopefully) easy bit.....it's the getting out that's worrying

jetcock · 28/10/2009 11:43

sazz - not me with the Shiney FB group - mind, i havent actually been on there for ages!

I am trying to set up something on the elfster site - it looks fab Trills.

How about a 3 week deadline to sign up, then 3 weeks after that to exchange - that makes the 9th Dec. Is that too late??

SazZaVoom · 28/10/2009 11:43

Sorry Squeezy, although with that name you have much the same effect of queasiness LOL

Yes it is my 2nd CS. The first was an emergency and i have no pics of DD1 until the next day when DH could go home for the camera. With the 2nd the anasthaetist just took the camera and started shooting. Luckily not on video

TrillianSlasher · 28/10/2009 11:44

And after you've got it out you have a baby, and then a toddler, and then a child, don't forget that part!

jetcock · 28/10/2009 11:48

spending limits thoughts please??

Obviously the gifts will have to be posted, so that needs to be a factor.

TrillianSlasher · 28/10/2009 11:50

£2. Just to make it extra difficult!

jetcock · 28/10/2009 11:52

£2?????

I will go for that Need a third (so i can call it a consensus) and i will put it on the site

MitsubishisMagnificentCock · 28/10/2009 11:54

If secret santa is being done through the Facebook thingy...can someone 'befriend' me pleeasey?

SazZaVoom · 28/10/2009 11:55

Car boot sales are fab, £2 and you will be drowning in stuff

SqueezyCheesyCock · 28/10/2009 11:59

Oh I didn't mean it badly Saz, tis the most natural thing in the world I'm just the queasiest person in queasyland, honestly it's mortifying. I fainted once when a friend was telling me about another friend who had injured herself and I also fainted when I vaguely scratched cut my own finger (the cut was no more than 3mm)

Have tried hypnotism to get over it but I couldn't relax enough to be hypnotised properly

FlamingoBingo · 28/10/2009 11:59

Can we make things for the secret santa gifts? I'm in, btw - think it's a fab idea

FlamingoBingo · 28/10/2009 12:00

I'm not on the FB group - well I am, but I never access it! Can someone give me a heads up whenever it's updated?

SqueezyCheesyCock · 28/10/2009 12:01

Yep, am up for a spending limit.

jetcock · 28/10/2009 12:03

i have put the elfster secret santa on my fb page , i cant figure out how to put it just on the shiney group page, so it is on jet cat's home page. I think that may be easier anyway - the only friends i have on there as jet cat are from here.

But, if people want it on the Shiney group page, someone will have to talk me through it!

SqueezyCheesyCock · 28/10/2009 12:16

Oh I got a "" look and a "don't think we didn't notice that thread" from MNHQ

MitsubishisMagnificentCock · 28/10/2009 12:23

Jet, I think I have found you on FB...my initials SC....

MitsubishisMagnificentCock · 28/10/2009 12:25

Lol at line of cocks all standing in line and waving cheerily to MN towers..

I imagined us all in 'cock' suits doing a version of ''All Stand Together'', but then I am VERY immature.

FlamingoBingo · 28/10/2009 12:28

Help me out in style and beauty

jetcock · 28/10/2009 12:42

Mits, have added you

Cockavita · 28/10/2009 12:52

I am up for anything that anyone decides
