For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

bugger. Bugger bugger bugger bugger bugger.

Just found carrier bag full of meat which we bought yesterday (inlcuding hideously expensive free range bird for today) which one of the dsses had just depositied in the hallway when we got in from shops yesterday.
And in this heat there is no way I am risking eating it anyway.

SuperBunny · 28/06/2009 14:55

Bugger Molly

I agree with Guad. I'm quite sure that floors of clubs do not have drugs scattered all over them and that they get cleaned regularly but I think the chances of finding shards of glass, cigarette butts (can you still smoke in clubs?) and rogue Es is significantly more in a club than a village hall.

Then again, I took DS to the library when he was about 15 months old and he chewed a used plaster that he found on the floor

MayorNaze · 28/06/2009 16:16

i am back

bless you all for your lovely welcome

i have read the OP - i have no questions about nuts...i do drive, as in i CAN drive, but i am as good as i can be and don' do it unless really necessary...do i lose points for that...?

or have i missed the point altogether...

ok. yesterday i walked home from work which took 35 mins.

today i have had

peach
pineapple
tomatoes
mushrooms

but have next to me to munch in little while

satsumas
grapes
apple

did hour and half hardcore housework this morning

MayorNaze · 28/06/2009 16:17

my friend thought about doing babydisco

but there is nowhere to do it here apart from church halls that cost the earth and really could not be anyything else but church halls. or skanky clubs that are just skanky

pointydog · 28/06/2009 16:28

babydisco - the rave continues, eh?

FrannyandZooey · 28/06/2009 17:36

well mayor we will overlook the driving ability thing as long as you don't start bleating about NUTS
(it was just a joke, we discovered one time that loads of us can't drive - although people keep learning)

molly aaaargh with knobs on

I would have love to have(ie wouldn't it be ace to be able to go to a rave/disco which started at around 5 and went on til 8 and you could take th kids and feel like you'd had a night out before shuffling off home for cocoa and bed!) 10 years ago but hadn't got a clue how to go about it all [unenterprising]

strawberries
cherries
broad beans
red cabbage
onions
carrots
brocolli
grapes
sweet potato
green beans

and 3 hours' weeding and hoeing and a massive housecleaning and ds and I have just been dancing likke loons to glasto on radio.

FrannyandZooey · 28/06/2009 18:38

FrayedKnot · 28/06/2009 18:49

Stop being so energetic all of you!

I have been sitting around in friend's garden drinking wine and stuffing face.

Mayor, I have been driving since i was 18 and I don;t have a mooncup but they let me stay so don;t worry

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 28/06/2009 18:50

Did I hear my name??

The impetigo has started to scab over, so unless it all goes manky overnight, we'll be visiting Franny Town tomorrow

What sort of music did they play. I just don't get experimental stuff. It's just noise to me.

We watched some Glasto on the tv last night. I really wanted to be there, but then I thought about the toilets and changed my mind! Kasabian were great, I was going to get some tickets to see them in Cambridge but they had sold out.

FrayedKnot · 28/06/2009 18:51

I fell asleep on the way home from friends house, post wine. I feel like someone held a babydisco in my mouth.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 28/06/2009 18:52

I drive too. I love driving, it can be so relaxing.

FrayedKnot · 28/06/2009 18:52

Oh yes Lemur Serge whatsisface is rather a nice looking young chap I think

Boco · 28/06/2009 18:59

You must have all been hanging out in some super skanky clubs with your knee high in drugs and broken glass.

My stepdad is at Glastonbury. It's weird how I feel too old for the toilets and mud and discomfort, but he loves it.

We've been out for tea and cake to friends house. The children all got naked and stood in a bucket of water. Must be quite liberating to be able to do that when you go visiting.

SuperBunny · 28/06/2009 19:09

I just sold all my furniture

This means I have no bed and have to sleep on the floor for the next 11 nights. My friend offered me an airbed but I was rather cavalier and said, 'Oh no, I'll be fine on the floor'

French Toast - I'd have had a banana on it but the diner didn't have any. In fact, they have no fruit and veg there, I think - only tinned strawberries.

FrannyandZooey · 28/06/2009 19:42

Bunny
phone him / her now and say you want it

FK "I feel like someone held a babydisco in my mouth." LOL

lemur it was kind of improvised noodlings with some jazz and some classical and some synthesizer stuff
it was ruddy awful actually

yay you are coming!
apparently it is going to be hideously hot so excuse my sweaty pinkness in advance

OP posts:
pinkspottywellies · 28/06/2009 19:50

Bunny! It's so exciting

1 portion of salad for dinner. Possibly 2 at a stretch. That's it

I REALLY want some chocolate. Maltesers. Lots of them. But DH is out so I can't get any.

DD didn't go to sleep til half 9 last night and she's still awake again

SuperBunny · 28/06/2009 20:06

lol Pink. My sister once met me at the airport with happy birthday balloons. Was lovely. Shall I tell her I need a banner this time?

I once heard some good experimental music. It had a tune and everything.

I've made a big pile of blankets on the floor and it's quite comfy. I think I can live like this. It'll be character building.

pinkspottywellies · 28/06/2009 20:24

Definitely a banner!

I was just thinking how crazy it is that you're selling everything and moving to a whole nother country and never going back!

FrannyandZooey · 28/06/2009 20:35

strawberries
pineapple
banana
raisins
butter beans
broccoli
cauliflower

oh god sb, you so need a banner! Does yr sister live near ny of us? I shall make one!!

Boco - I was wondering whether to do glasto again next year for my 40th after around 20 years of not doing it.
But based on the much smaller festivals I have done since, I actually think that more than two night of sleeplessness would drive me to extreme violence

TooTicky · 28/06/2009 20:48

SB, you already have an excellent character.

SuperBunny · 28/06/2009 20:59

It's so weird, Pink. But good. New start and all that. Aw Molly, she doesn't live near you but thanks

I have festival envy. I have never been to a proper one, despite having live in Reading all my teen years. I will go to one, one day.

SuperBunny · 28/06/2009 21:01

toot

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 28/06/2009 21:03

We can be pink, hot and sweaty together tomorrow Franny. What a lovely picture I'm painting!

Did you see your piggy today Pink?

DS has been pissing about at bedtime too, I think it's the heat.

Hi Toot
