Dh's MBE

We managed to make it all work, and dh was well enough to have it presented yesterday.

Friend organised the medal and citation to be sent from High Wycombe, and dh was awake enough, so at 7 o'clock we started to get everyone together and by 8.15 it was 'done'

Quite wonderful and the right thing to do. Dh deserved to get it, and it was far more meaningful than my picking it up on his behalf 'after'

The citation summed him up to a tee, it talked about his inspirational leadership, dedication and profesionalism. And said how brave he was.

There wasn't a dry eye in the house.

I spent the night with him and can give the nurses no better praise than to say that they are as wonderful as can be. It was almost like being surrounded my MN.

The MN rug was with me, BTW.

Going now to have a shower

So pleased Mr MB was able to receive his MBE himself - wonderful news. You must be so proud of him MB!

My DP is sure that he knows Mr MB - he's a fellow RAF person too and has asked what his name is. I understand you dont want to disclose on MN but if you feel up to it, you can email me at [email protected]
