Seborrheic Keratosis miracle cure

Just posting this hack to benefit anyone who suffers from seborrheic keratosis which I have done for many years. I had a growth in my hairline which had been spreading, getting bumpier and darker for many years. A dermatologist I visited said it wasn’t concerning and if I got it removed it would have to be cut off and would be for aesthetic reasons only. Also said that it would likely grow back.
I recently googled it again as it was genuinely horrible and AI kindly told me that it can be treated very simply with diclofenac acid and should be gone in a month. This is the active ingredient in voltarol. I’ve been applying it every evening for 3 weeks- and in the morning when I remember - lo and behold, my hideous growth has all but disappeared.
hope this helps somebody else 🙏🏻

Would this work on seborrheic hyperplasia I wonder? https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/22670-sebaceous-hyperplasia

It got rid of my dh's ' wisdom bump.' Took 3 weeks.

I have got something that sounds similar to this but it’s skin colour/red. Looks like a spot/insect bite. I just can’t remember what the dermatologist called it. Wondering if I can use the suggested treatments

OK, I’ve picked up a 30mg tube of the 2.32% one in Sainsbury’s so tonight is the night…
Does it smell? Not that it makes a difference to me but my DP is going to be a bit Hmm at the greasy hair anyway!

The smell doesn't last and it's not greasy.

Thank you @knitpicker

It is indeed a miracle cure. I used 1.16% Voltarol Gel on a couple of seborrheic keratosis areas on my breast twice a day for a week or so and they have gone 😊

Many thanks 🙏

I’m going to give it a try! One large one on my bikini line (I won’t be posting before and after photos 🤣)

EmeraldDreams73 · 21/06/2026 21:56

Wow, thanks for this. Dh has millions of these, including huge ones all over his back and a massive one on his temple which recently developed an extra jiggly bit in the middle when he nicked it cutting his hair
If I can persuade him to try this, I will!

Just a warning that I got about voltarol gel and other medicine. So if you're taking ibuprofen tablets for pain. I wasn't to use the gel at the same time.

I have a patch on my face that the dermatologist said was seborrheic keratosis. I have loads of diclofenic gel because I use it for joint pain so will give it a go.

Gangstamummy · 23/06/2026 00:41

I’m the PP who was giving it a go on a v thick dark seborrheic patch in my hair line - it’s been about 8 weeks and it isn’t a miracle cure (so far) but I think it has definitely faded in colour, and will keep going. I’m not sure how much of the gel gets through the hair which probably doesn’t help!

Ive started using today so thanks for the tip.
