Flu/cough with gastro pain/nausea

Hi,

So on Christmas Eve, Eve I woke up shivering body aches and a cough.

Christmas morning - still the same symptoms as above but also the worse HEARTBURN and NAUSEA!!!

I'm now on day 23 - yep I'm counting because it is miserable!

Coughs still lingering a little bit but much better but the gastro symptoms are horrible! Upper stomach pain/burning, reflux. Nausea is getting better ( I think mostly due to Silicon gel from boots)

I've got a drs appointment on Friday l, just wondering if anyone else has/had this?

What did the Dr give, how long did it last?

*Note I've never had reflux/heartburn before. I'm mid thirties, healthy weight, don't drink/smoke, not a coffee drinker - I don't fit and of the "reflux criteria"

Thanks

It's a beast. Three weeks in the gastritis is so much better. But I made a shepherd's pie tonight with two shallots. I'm suffering now.

@justasking111 how you feeling now? Hopefully better after the Shepard's pie!

@Kaminari how are you feeling now? Did the Omeperazole work for you?

@Mygangofthree I'm mostly back to normal now - I forgot to take the omeprazole after a few days and the constant heartburn still gradually tapered off on its own. I'm still getting the odd sicky burp where reflux comes flying up my throat, but other than that it's improved loads.

@Kaminari That such good news! I was put on Omeperazole too. How many days do you think you took it for? Wondering how long I need to be on it lol
