Flu

DH and I have succumbed to the flu that's been going around and feel absolutely awful. Started with body aches, sweating/chills and headache. I was also vomiting and barely able to even keep water down. Doing a little better today though.

We've cancelled our Christmas plans to see family but I'm wondering by what day you started to feel better. Tomorrow is day 3/4 and, with young DC, I'd love some reassurance that tomorrow won't be completely rubbish. Feeling very sad that Christmas is spoilt when it's my favourite time of year.

Day 32 and I have my energies back, only left with a nasty dry cough. Oh boy, this was the worse illness I had in my life, and I am 50 and had Covid twice!
I had a week of very high temperature over 40, chills, sweat, fainting. Them cough started and with it came respiratory problems, low oxygen and high heart rate. Diagnosed with chest infection, given antibiotics. I had a mild fever (38ish) for few more weeks and wasn't able to walk from bed to kitchen without breathless.
Then temperature came Waco every other day and I managed to be strong enough to stand and take short walks within the house.
Eventually two days ago I realised I had no temperature for four days and I loaded the washing machine in one single go without having to sit down mid way though!
The cough is annoying but compared to the previous weeks it's nothing!!

I only started feeling better after about 13 days! It was awful. No energy at all. Worse flu ever.

My 16 year old DS came down with this friday eve, it's now tuesday night and he's just thrown up again after a few days of not. Sad His temp has been up and down and he's been bedbound the whole time basically. Not sure when to worry but I've never seen him this ill.

Still not over this unless keep getting back to back viruses (also possible). Anyone else?
