Steve had a peaceful night, he woke at three for morphine which the nurse was able to give him without waking me. He woke again at 7 pulled his pad off and wee'd all over . He is too difficult to move when he is not co-operating and he needs two people which is difficult when I have three kids to get up and in the bath.
I will try and sort the hoist out today but not sure how soon we will get one delivered.

i am just having a coffee, DN is coming within the hour to see about hoist and incontinence stuff, steve is asllep and we have yet to do the tablet marathon trial

OJ, I don't post much on here but always check your thread. I find myself thinking about you and your family often. I hope you can draw some strength from the posts here. It is an honour and privilege to read about some of the most private and difficult moments in peoples' lives, yours included. I wish you strength for the coming days and weeks.

DN is going to look at getting ahoist and also the possibilty of the nursing agency sending 2 carers for key points of the day. my mate has just dragged taken me out for a pub lunch and brought me flowers

Deepest joy just had a call from car insurance to say the bloke who wrote my car off in january was Not insured
had a call from SW who wanted to check how things were and to see if any contact from steves family as she has a message to ring MIL, SW is coming for tomorrows vist and says she will bring stun gun

OJ, another one who has not posted before but who has been regularly checking in and thinking of you all.

I hope that I have the good fortune to have someone like you by my side when my time comes.

Steves brother is due to vist tonight, the carer today is the one that steves brother kicked off at last time and was threatening him, should be fun then.

OJ what a £$$%%&%%%& pain bout your car. It was a mobility one wasn't it ? Does that affect you at all, do you have to pay for the one that arse wipe totalled ?

the car was a six month old 20k mobility car.
it means they will take the loss but that i will have a claim against my naame and i wont get the good condition bonus either.
they are still sorting out the loss and injury claim that will take forever no doubt.

FFS OJ, do you know where he lives, may be a few of us that might like to pop round and have a little "chat" with Mr White Van Man and ensure he is incapable of fathering any children.

the hoist is being looked into but steve needs to be reassessed by the continuing care team, i think they hold the purse strings, they are thinking of having two carers for early morning and night time but would need approval for funding.
