ive got 2 boys so have no idea what i'd call it. me and my sister used to call it a ningy but i think it was origionally meant to be a thingy. if im in the bath or getting changed its 'mommys bits' . my ds1 calls his a winkle although my dh keeps saying willy which i think is rude, not sure why.

janeybops · 03/01/2005 20:05

we call dd's 'bits'.

when i was small my mum called it our 'tuppence' lol

NameChangingMancMidlander · 03/01/2005 20:07

Boys have a winkie, girls have a twinkle.

Janeybobs, my mum used to call it a tuppence too ! Are you from up North ? I wonder if it's a Mancunian / northern thing ? TBH, 'Tuppence' makes me cringe now

janeybops · 03/01/2005 20:08

no I'm originally a west country maid

KateandtheGirls · 03/01/2005 20:09

Boys have a penis. Girls have a vagina.

NameChangingMancMidlander · 03/01/2005 20:09

Bang goes my theory

NameChangingMancMidlander · 03/01/2005 20:10

hunkermunker · 03/01/2005 20:10

Willies and bits in this house!

OLittleYurtofBethlehem · 03/01/2005 20:11

Er where has the beginning of my thread gone to?

hunkermunker · 03/01/2005 20:11

Mildly regretting posting that sentence quite like that...there are other things here too...!

OLittleYurtofBethlehem · 03/01/2005 20:14

Ahhhhh now i see that the thread title is on the 'last hour' page but not on this one

thread should have begun with fulsome praise for ds success on potty today

And that this thread follows on from thursdays which started out all about foreskins and finished up all about REGINALD

nailpolish · 03/01/2005 20:16

dd calls it her flower

MarsLady · 03/01/2005 20:19

DD1 used to call it her mini but that caused all sorts of problems when she began to dream about visiting a certain Mickey Mouse and wife

The boys have a man and dd has a cookie,it was to be flower but i have a very literal thinking autistic son who took one look at his wee sis and demanded thatthere was no way 'that 'was a flower but funnily enough he doesnt mind it being called a cookie.....like its got anything to do with him anyway im rambling....

foof for a girl and dinkle for a boy

i know ive said this before but a friend of ours called a girls bit a "fairy" until her ds got to 5 and had nightmares about the toothfairy

handlemecarefully · 04/01/2005 09:55

My dd has been encouraged to call hers 'twinkle' but then doubtless influenced by the nursery rhyme she has rechristened it 'star'!

Titania · 04/01/2005 09:56
