We just use wee-wee for both although now ds is five we have told him what the "right" words are for his genitals. He was underwhelmed at the news.

Mum2girls · 04/01/2005 10:22

willy for boys, front-bottom for girls.

Hulababy · 04/01/2005 10:23

We just say bits or bottom for DD.

beckswith3 · 04/01/2005 11:08

willies and peaches

codswallop · 04/01/2005 11:09

peaches? nOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!

Angeliz · 04/01/2005 11:10

DD actually invented her own when she said, "OOOH don't tickle me tinkle"!!!
So it's now a tinkle

Mum2girls · 04/01/2005 11:10

Becks....er...does 'peaches' refer to the girls bits or boys' balls?

welshmum · 04/01/2005 11:14

Fanny for girls, willy for boys

Mum2girls · 04/01/2005 11:19

Fanny??

welshmum · 04/01/2005 11:21

Is that bad?

spots · 04/01/2005 11:24

why not mum2girls?

Mum2girls · 04/01/2005 11:27

Not bad at all (hence the wink), just sounded very grown up after all the 'twinkles', 'gigi' and 'tuppences'!!

spots · 04/01/2005 11:33

I find fanny acceptable if not ideal but such a strangely (or not?) difficult question.

dislike words that inevitably make perfectly good everyday objects like fairies, flowers and peaches into euphemisms

find a lot of euphemisms actually a bit more 'saucy' sounding than the more... anglo saxon... terminology

your bottom is at the back

vagina is the hole not the organ

nobody says vulva

am left with fanny!

gingerbear · 04/01/2005 11:49

DD has a noonie
DH has a wiggle
DD says that mummy and her have wees, but daddy has a wiggle from his wiggle....

welshmum · 04/01/2005 11:56

I asked 'is that bad?' because you tend to come up with these names in a vaccum and mumsnet is about the only place where you'd find out what other people thought of your decisions. Just spotted your wink mum2girls

rosies · 04/01/2005 11:56

hi spots,

yeah we went for fanny too. its not that bad a word, is it?

mind you.... great shrieks of laughter when reading enid blyton faraway tree books... dick and fanny are in it!
