I have just sat in my car and screamed at the top of my voice several times because a car was blocking my wy in my road and showed no sign of moving towards the space I had left for it to exit, instead just flashing headlights at me for no reason (I could not pass him).

While this was annoying I do think my reaction was over the top but I am filled with an uncontrollable rage at the moment.

My periods are REALLY heavy and I am finding sleep difficult as I feel all hot and bothered.

I don't get period pains, just rage.

Is there anything I can do to level out my my moods ? PS I don't mean Yoga or meditation!)

Am reading this thread having been sent out of the room by a very sympathetic dh for being bad tempered. AF started today and now I'm very down, it happens every month. Fortunately I'm not getting the real rages, but definately low and generally snappy.

I had a bout of depression about 18 months ago and found St JW worked very well, but I haven't taken them for a long while as I didn't need to any longer. Perhaps it's time to dig them out.

Thougth I would bump this as I am now having my first period since I started taking EPO and Vitamin B6.

I feel a lot less angry and irritated which is good, though I have had the odd incident where I've got a bit emotional.

My period is still REALLY heavy though. I am off work so I am using pads rather than tampos just so see how much I am bleeding - have got through 3 super towels already today, and have had some large blood clots. I know my grandmother really suffered from painful heavy periods but I never get any pain just a heavy flow.

If I could find something to sort that out I think I would be sorted.

I have just completed my first month taking starflower oil - 240mg dose and am taking 2 tablets a day in the fortnight before AF due. One tablet for the rest of the cycle. I am still irritable, but haven't had the huge flashovers of anger and rage, which is good!!

Will continue next month and see how it goes.

I was soooo glad to see this thread - this is me! I get so angry, and I have never been like this before. I shout at the kids, I even stamp my foot on the floor like a 5 year old! I am still bf'ing my 2yo, so it limits what I can take, but I am going to try evening primrose oil and vit b.

Good luck to all of you trying different things! I know how miserable it can be to feel out of control.
