My Step neice has had to undergo a crash section due to her babys heart stopping during an induce laybour.

He is currently in SCBU and needs all the positive thoughts he can get. He is 9lb 10oz and was deprived of oxegen for a fair amount of time.

Please think about them as she is only 20 and this is her first child.

Thank you

My son was blue when he was born.he lacked oxegen and was in suba for 4 weeks .He also had fluid on the brain. and had a shunt fitted. He came out of hospital and then caught menigitus.Seemed bad at the time but thanks for positive thought and prayers he is now 14 years old and as stroppy as any tenager. He was fed on a tube for weeks but he is now fine.Dont give up hope i sure every thing will be okay.He is very tall the only thing wrong with him is he had to wear glasses from a baby stage but thats a small price to pay for all his problems.KEEP POSITIVE AND THE VERY BEST OF GOOD LUCK TO YOU ASND YOUR FAMILY.XXX

Sorry for the delay in the update, but I have had so much going on and did not want to post when there was no update at all.

But it is like a miracle has happened. He has regained some movement and taken a bottle. Better still he has made a sound. Hip hip horay.

They have said if he continues in this vein he could be home on Wednesday.

All this has happened since last night. from 10ml at 2am monday morning to 70ml at 6pm today.

I cried I was so happy - now its accomadation, as they were at Uni in wakefeild or somewhere, so partner is going back to colleage and neice is staying at Bros, but only three bedrooms and Bro and SIL, Newphew (15) and neice (2) it is going to be crowded.

We are all just so amazed at this progress as it has been so rapid and unexpected.

He will be coming home

have been watching your thread waiting to hear some good news and here it is...that is fabulous, much love to all, we really take it for granted that we have happy healthy children who are born healthy and don't realise this kind of trauma can happen to anyone. makes me count my blessings, am really happy he is on the mend.

LuckyUnderpants · 04/02/2008 23:31

Thats fantastic news! hope he continues to improve rapidly
