My Step neice has had to undergo a crash section due to her babys heart stopping during an induce laybour.

He is currently in SCBU and needs all the positive thoughts he can get. He is 9lb 10oz and was deprived of oxegen for a fair amount of time.

Please think about them as she is only 20 and this is her first child.

Thank you

That's good news about the sedation and his heart Madhouse. What a terribly worrying time for you all. Still praying.

Thanks for the update - positive thoughts and prayers continuing for little L and his family.

Haribosmum · 19/01/2008 19:13

All my thoughts and prayers are with all concerned especially that little boy and his mummy and daddy. I had a similar experience when I was in labour. Babys heart started slowing down to dangerous levels and the MW was panicing. Thank God I was doped up in gas and air so didn't realise what was going on. Thankfully he is ok. Be strong little baby.

TheMadHouse · 19/01/2008 21:05

Little L is not well still - no change, no movement and has not regained conciousness, so another scan either this evening or tomorrow. Everyone is at sixes and sevens really. Thanks for all your thoughts

Sorry to hear there is no improvement - still praying for Little L and his family.

CocoDeBearisCocoDeBear · 20/01/2008 17:28

My DD was unconscious for about 10 days, and ventilated for nearly two weeks, and a year on she is right now busy eating playdough and throwing cutters around, so please don't give up hope.

Thinking of little L and his mum often.

OverRated · 20/01/2008 17:31

Thinking of you all

TheMadHouse · 25/01/2008 22:09

Hi everyone

Thank you very much for your thoughts and prayers, they are obviously working.

Baby L is on the mend. He is now off his ventilator and having oxygen only while asleep.

He is being tube fed and has regained some movement.

it goes without saying that there is going to be some permenant damage, but he is alive and feeding by nasal tube.

Thank you again, I can not imagine the pain that my neice and her partner have been and are going through. They are permenanty at the hospital.

And of course strength and blessings for baby

They are not giving anything away regarding length of stay in hospital at the moment.
