My Step neice has had to undergo a crash section due to her babys heart stopping during an induce laybour.

He is currently in SCBU and needs all the positive thoughts he can get. He is 9lb 10oz and was deprived of oxegen for a fair amount of time.

Please think about them as she is only 20 and this is her first child.

Thank you

Thank you all very much for your positive thoughts and payers. Please keep them going. Sorry I did not post sooner, but things had been very bleak and there was talk of turning off the ventilator follwing poor scan results, but there was a cancellation on the MRI today, so they scanned hom a day early and his function was imporoved.

They are reducing his sedation and are going to attempt to remove the ventoilator. He is still on a cold mat to reduce the swelling in his brain and there is likley to be ongoing issue, but he is going to survice - yippee

I have been to see them tonight and he is georgous and looks like a month old baby, a real change from the tinyones in the SCBU.

Thank you all again

Update on lillte L

Although they have stopped the sedation, he has not yet regained conciousness and they have not been able to remove his ventilations.

He is still on the cool mat. He had an ECG on his heart yerterday adn that is fine. He is going to have another MRI today, to see if there is any change in his brain function.

Thank you for your continuing thoughts and prayers - he and the family are grateful for them
