Spot on boob does it look dodgy

OP posts:
Haggisfish3 · 03/08/2021 21:31

I think it needs checking. Could be nothing, could be something.

Mamamamasaurus · 03/08/2021 21:33

Have you had a stray bra wire digging in or similar? I'd be getting that looked at, better to be safe

MrsMcTats · 03/08/2021 21:34

I would definitely get it checked.

Tanfastic · 03/08/2021 21:41

Looks a bit inflamed around the outside. How long has it been there?

catfunk · 03/08/2021 21:42

Yes is does look dodgy. Even if nothing sinister it looks infected.

shapes1 · 03/08/2021 21:55

Been here a few days. It was a spot and I had been picking at it a lot but stopped today

OP posts:
Tanfastic · 03/08/2021 22:11

I don't think it looks sinister (but I'm no expert) but I'd be a bit concerned about the redness around the spot. You might need antibiotics.

shapes1 · 03/08/2021 22:15

@Tanfastic that's what I'm thinking too. Will update tomo after I've phoned docs

OP posts:
purplebatbear · 03/08/2021 22:57

Looks like an infected small pore of winds to me

shapes1 · 04/08/2021 00:30

@purplebatbear winds?

OP posts:
converseandjeans · 04/08/2021 00:56

I had spot similar to this which spread into rash over other parts of my body. It seems to be guttate psoriasis. Is it itchy? My spot was itchy.

shapes1 · 04/08/2021 05:59

@converseandjeans no not itchy

OP posts:
Nobloat21 · 04/08/2021 06:07

I thought it looked like a bite that you've scratched the top off. I'd smother it in sudacreme and keep an eye on it.

shapes1 · 04/08/2021 07:07

@Nobloat21 that's what I think has happened but family and now on here have got me worried and telling me to check it out so phoning docs today at 8 to hopefully get a face to face appointment

OP posts:
converseandjeans · 04/08/2021 08:59

I have had trouble getting an appointment & still not seen a dermatologist. They just keep getting me to send photos over.

It sounds less dodgy if it's not itchy but probably worth getting it checked.

shapes1 · 04/08/2021 09:33

@converseandjeans I have a face to face appointment today at 9.30 so that's good although i made it clear it was urgent and needed to be face to face

OP posts:
HammondTheHamster · 04/08/2021 09:38

I think pore of winds maybe autocorrected from pore of winer

JillsFlapjacks · 04/08/2021 10:05

I have had something very similar from picking at a spot. I don't think it's anything serious, but as it's quite red you're right to get it checked over.

shapes1 · 04/08/2021 11:29

Well I've seen the doctor who checked over my boobs for lumps etc and said what I have is probably a bite and as Ive picked it a scab etc so she's prescribed me some cream to apply twice daily and to go back next week for an update. Oh and to leave it alone in the meantime lol

OP posts:
purplebatbear · 04/08/2021 12:24

Pore of winer!!!

shapes1 · 12/08/2021 15:26

Well I have an update as I've been applying the antibiotic cream given and nothings changed. She's now referred me (doctor) to a skin clinic to rule out skin cancer and I showed it to my friend who's an oncology nurse end she said she has seen patients with my kinda spot so I'm now worried but I should be seen within 2 weeks

JillsFlapjacks · 12/08/2021 22:47

I'm sorry you've not had any improvement on this, shapes. Thank goodness you went to the GP, wishing you all the best.

Oh honey. I'm so sorry to hear this and I can imagine how worried you're feeling. Hopefully they'll be able to tell you really soon so you can either have your mind set to rest or have a solid plan for further action. Wishing you lots of luck and I'll be thinking of you xxxx
