@MrsPelligrinoPetrichor changed for better or worse do u think?

I would draw a line around the redness to check it is not spreading further. It looks more infected than cancerous to me but I am no expert.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 13/08/2021 18:24

I don't know about better or worse but it's changed in appearance and it looks suspiciously like it might need antibiotics to my untrained medical eye. Comparing the 2 photos and the recent one looks much angrier.

shapes1 · 13/08/2021 18:27

I've had antibiotic cream which I've been applying for the last week twice a day

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 13/08/2021 18:34

You might possibly need oral antibiotics, I'd be expecting an infected spot to be looking a lot better after a week with antibiotic cream.

shapes1 · 13/08/2021 18:45

@MrsPelligrinoPetrichor it might not be an infected spot

OP posts:
MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 13/08/2021 18:45

No, exactly so I'd want it looked at again.

Ninkanink · 13/08/2021 18:48

That’s definitely changed. Go back and get it seen again, for sure.

shapes1 · 13/08/2021 18:50

I did actually go back yesterday which I updated about in here and I'm being sent to the breast clinic on Tuesday

OP posts:
Ninkanink · 13/08/2021 18:51

Flowers hope you’re managing not to worry too much, and wish you a good outcome!

shapes1 · 13/08/2021 18:52

@Ninkanink thanks I'm ok for now. My mum is very religious so she's praying for me and my sons birthday is this weekend so we are having ppl over so I'm concentrating on getting the house ready, doing food etc so am busy which helps.

My hubby and friend say it looks better (the actual spot) but I'm still seeing a fair bit of redness around it which is making me wonder why

OP posts:
MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 13/08/2021 18:53

Oh sorry, didn't realise you'd been seen yesterday.

Hope it's nothing sinister. I would mark the edge of the redness with a pen and if it spreads get seen earlier than Tuesday.

shapes1 · 13/08/2021 18:54

And if u look closely on the spot there's teeny tiny black specs again no idea what they are

OP posts:
shapes1 · 13/08/2021 18:55

@MrsPelligrinoPetrichor that's a good idea I'll get hubby to do that later with one of my sharpie pens lol

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 13/08/2021 19:01

It looks very similar to my dh's bites when they get infected and they go nasty fast and need antibiotics. As I said, I'm no medic but it looks angry.

shapes1 · 13/08/2021 19:04

@MrsPelligrinoPetrichor and does the oral antibiotics clear them up fast?

OP posts:
MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 13/08/2021 19:06

Yes, within 3 days there's a huge improvement usually. Mark the outline and you will be able to see if it's spreading, if it is the hospital asap.

shapes1 · 13/08/2021 19:08

@MrsPelligrinoPetrichor ok thanks I've circled it now

OP posts:
MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 13/08/2021 19:49

Pretty Grin

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 13/08/2021 19:50

Seriously though, it's a good way of keeping track of how it's changing, you can look and think it's ok but it's spread.

Hopefully it'll stay put!

MilduraS · 13/08/2021 20:04

My GP has been asking for photos at initial enquiry and then calling back when she's free to advise. Well worth a quick email.

shapes1 · 13/08/2021 21:00

@MilduraS shes already seen it fave to face

OP posts:
shapes1 · 14/08/2021 13:18

Well the circle I drew came off overnight lol. Redness still there but spot now is scabbing is that a good sign?

OP posts:
MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 14/08/2021 14:58

How does it look compared to yesterday?
