Hi, im really struggling at the moment, since sept last year iv been suffering with a lot of symptoms (ill list them below) iv seen the doctor numerous times and a neurologist who told me its anxiety. The problem is because my doctors know I suffer with anxiety I feel like there dismissing alot of my symptoms and they could be missing something serious like MS. I did have a shocking year I lost 2 of my much loved family members 😭 but these symptoms came out of nowhere, im not helping myself by googling but I cant help it I feel like I need reassurance. I have an amazing support system but im scared there no longer interested. Im a mum of 3 but I hide all of my worries from them, I never want them to over worry like I do. Advice would be much appreciated as to what you think my symptoms are.

It really is I have had a bad day today with it but hopefully it will be better tomorrow, but my anxiety is also really high today so maybe that is what is making it flare up 😔

Michelleheidi · 27/08/2021 15:54

Can anyone calm me down here and say they have had like a tingly feeling on one side of their face 😭 I woke up this morning and the left side of my Face is like tingly/crawling feeling I’m so worried that this could be another sign in the wrong direction 🙈 I had my brain mri on Tuesday but havnt got any results yet and I was with my gp earlier today for a completely different reason but I mentioned it to him and he knows I suffer with bad anxiety and he just said another anxiety symptom but I feel like he just put it down to this because he knows I have bad anxiety already

Chanletch87 · 27/08/2021 16:08

@Michelleheidi I know its scary but tingly face is a really common physical anxiety symptom. I can imagine whats going through your head as I do the same when it happens to me. Try to relax and take deep breaths. I was told you can hyperventilate without not even knowing. Im glad you have had your mri now but the waiting for the results part is probably the worst bit. Try and take your mind off it and do something you enjoy xxx

@Chanletch87 thanks very much for that I think I believe it more when someone who is going through the same tells me they are normal symptoms, it’s like my doctor is just putting absolutely everything down to anxiety and it probably is but I just need to hear it from someone else before I will believe it.. I’d say the doctor hates seeing me coming 🤦🏻‍♀️ He said the results prob won’t be with them till late next week at the earliest so I’m gonna try take my mind if it as best I can till them.. thank you for your reply xx

Michelleheidi · 06/09/2021 17:05

Hi I got my mri results and everything is normal such a relief 🙂 but I just have a question to ask if anyone has experienced the same because I don’t want to ring my gp if it’s not that uncommon but the last week or so I’ve been feeling what feel like random drops of water on my skin but when I look there ma nothing there is this an anxiety thing or am I overthinking it

Chubbymummy12 · 08/09/2021 20:22

I have all of this too, I have since July
Last year, when I had a bad episode, where my legs gave way, I wet myself, leg weakness, numbness and tingling in arms and legs, vision loss, central and peripheral at different times, pupils that are different sizes, difficulty with speach and so much more and I've had a constant headache ever since. I've had a ct scan that came back ok and that's it, I've just been told by a neurologist that it's migraines and I've had tablets for that thrown at me. I've also now developed trigeminal neuralgia. But neurologist won't take me seriously and I do suffer with migraines anyway but that wasn't a migraine. It went on for 3 weeks straight and I've been left with a permanent headache, anyone had these symptoms?? Eye test a year ago was ok too

Chanletch87 · 08/09/2021 20:35

Iv been seeing some great improvement with the chiropractor, he told me its all related to my muscles in my neck, I go weekly now and I can honestly say its worth every penny. When he told me the name of it I googled it and it all my symptoms which has calmed my anxiety greatly x

It does all sound very similar to my anxiety symptoms, which have improved with continuous high strength B12 and Iron supplements. (and CBD vaping)

Starrr123 · 22/01/2022 20:52

@Chanletch87 do you clench? I feel like i wanna be me without all this psin :( xx

Chanletch87 · 22/01/2022 21:14

@Starrr123 yes I do i also suffer with facial tension, I had botox done to see if it helps but it hasn't really. The only thing that helps is a headband x

I had many of these symptoms with generalized anxiety disorder. They can be terrifying.

At one point I thought j had a brain tumour or something as I kept fainting and was constantly dizzy. Turns out I was subconciosuly holding my breath or breathing to fast and shallow causing too high oxygen ... Ugh embarrassing how many medical tests I went through until an ent consulatant was doing some dizzinessness tests after other had ruled out heart stuff and I passed them and he said it could be anxiety and that my symptoms were caused by it and feeding it in a bitter cycle.

Knowing nothing was seriously wrong i.e. ECG, bloods, scans etc I soon started to feel better I went to a breathing works expert to do some breathing exercises, learnt how to manage panic and anxiety better and it all went away.

I still suffer with anxiety issues but I don't get much of the weird physical stuff anymore as I know what causes it. (Still get tention/stress headaches though but Botox helps)

PeopleNormallyJustStopTalking · 22/01/2022 22:06

Just to say that I was referred to a neurologist for suspected ms and when he ruled it out he suggested osteopathy (which worked). Again it was the neck.....like the OP

Starrr123 · 22/01/2022 22:46

@PeopleNormallyJustStopTalking I think mine us neck eelated too!
How long after seeing a osteopath did it help? C

PeopleNormallyJustStopTalking · 23/01/2022 09:03

Hi Starr.
So - what was similar to Op was that when a physio pressed on my lower neck it triggered the symptoms. But her treatments didn’t help.

The first osteopathic massage was the first glimmer of hope. My heavy tingling arms temporarily lightened and stopped jangling.
The next day it was much worse-osteopath said “good that means it’s working”.
It took months and £ to turn the corner(S). But now I only go every 6 months, can control my symptoms through exercise and osteo says my back is the best she’s ever seen it.

Specialist massage is a powerful tool against inflammation (as are heat and ice) and inflammation seems to prevent healing via Pilates, etc.

But you need X-ray /scan etc before letting someone crack your neck!

Starrr123 · 23/01/2022 09:08

@PeopleNormallyJustStopTalking thankyou for hour reply! :)
lol have had mris and all! They are saying just wear and tear and its down to clenching my teeth. I went to a crnial osteopath 3 times before x mas and it definitely was helping. Maybe i need to stick to it alot longer xx

PeopleNormallyJustStopTalking · 23/01/2022 11:21

Yes - think 6 months and increasing the length of gaps between appointments.
For me (not an expert) Osteopathy is working if you’re being weaned off it down to 1/2 visits a year. Then you carry on using Pilates etc.

Starrr123 · 24/02/2022 22:10

@Chubbymummy12 how are you now ?
I am really struggling atm! Also i have had a constant headache and facial pain :( has anything helped you? Xxx
