dh is posting for me
I started getting concerned about his rapid breathing, so popped down to A&E this afternoon to get him checked out. The breathing aund the pulse are too fast, and the X-ras shows shadows (dh: little, nothing to find in blood test yet). They think he is possibly just starting pneumonia, so are giving antibiotics for 3 days initially. If we're lucky we'll be allowed home after that.
Plaese send get-well vibes, or prayer if you're that way inclined, and spare a thought for ds 1 too, that he hopefully doesn't find it all too upsetting.

(dh: ds1 had a long day, several hours with me in the backpack, picking up a pram for ds2, visiting grandparents, long bath and then going to A&E, berolina and babybrother, falling asleep after 10 during dh's failing attempt to plead for a bit more waiting for a burp after breastfeeding because ds2 sleeps in this "fish-bowl" and looks like cable-connected - dh was foolish, stupid and too less sensitive enough to argue for a try, so that berolina and ds2 can sleep a little longer during the night-breast feedings; berolina fears ds1 can't cope with the minimum 3 day mama has to stay with little brother in hospital; doctor says ds2 is not in a life-threatening situation/condition, but berolina was right to come, because breathing is not as it should be; he can't foresee, how fast antibiotic-therapy will be effective, but thinks, berolina was fast enough there for preventing a real pneumonia)

Oh... I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope he'll be home again and OK soon.

MrBerolina, don't worry about ds1. He will understand on some level that this is a completely 'unusual' situation. He will be OK. Just keep reassuring him that his mama will be home soon.

Sending you all lots of love. I will be in touch.

oh bero I'm so sorry

This reminds me so much of the time after ds's birth - I was worried about his rapid breathing, and then took him in, and he had IV AB's etc.

I hope very much that baby bero will recover very soon, and try not to worry too much about ds1, my dd's were fine when I had to stay in hospital with ds. What's it like at the Krankenhaus is ds1 allowed to visit? Hated it when ds was in hospital in Germany that the dd's weren't allowed to visit.

Alles, alles Gute, ich denke an Euch X

Carmenere · 14/10/2007 22:55
