After having felt completely grim for over 2 weeks, I threw myself at the mercy of my local health food shop and was sold this and this

I started taking them on Friday, felt like I had been hit by a brick yesterday and then today....

......I feel fantastic, the best I have felt for weeks

I want to go out and do stuff but dp has banned me and says I have to stay in and rest

but seriously, if anyone is suffering with persistent colds and stuff and feeling rundown, I would SO recommend these two things

(you may of course wait to see if I drop dead in the course of the week)

don't faint at the prices but if it gets you from feeling shite to feeling fab I reckon it is a bargain

Yikes.

Have also been feeling crappy for a couple of week. Not helped by camping in a howling gale last weekend

But still, yikes...

Cappuccino · 03/06/2007 15:47

I'm very very glad f&z

will remember

take advantage of doing nowt

FrannyandZooey · 03/06/2007 15:51

Becky I know

seriously

but I have been so poorly and had to have a day off work which probably cost me around that amount tbh

and I just wasn't getting any better no matter how much I rested etc, something had to be done

Capp I've been doing bugger all for about 2 weeks, I am a little bored of it now...(but point taken)

beckybrastraps · 03/06/2007 15:51

Sorry, should of course have said how delighted I am that you have recovered.

GlassSlipper · 03/06/2007 15:52

Clearly I am stalking you Franny

Do you reckon I could take them if I was breastfeeding?

FrannyandZooey · 03/06/2007 15:53

apparently the elder berry extract has been shown in clinical trials to reduce the length of a cold from 5 or 6 days to 2 or 3 days

they reckon you should keep it in the house and start taking it at the first hint of a cold, or even every day as a preventative

so maybe you could just try that Becky, as I am taking both, of course I won't know which is doing what

FrannyandZooey · 03/06/2007 15:56

GS the superfoods YES

elder berry I did search and it hasn't been tested enough to say for sure on pg or bf I don't think, but looks safe enough. It says on the packet "do not take if bf" but the woman in the shop says they all say that

search online to get more details, or you might like to phone LLL - they always have the latest information

OP posts:
GlassSlipper · 03/06/2007 15:58

thanks franny. will call LLL next week about them.

FrannyandZooey · 03/06/2007 16:04

The superfoods should be fine for anyone, because they are just FOOD

taste like manky old spinach though

chonky · 03/06/2007 16:08

I swear by elderberry, it really does work. Solgar do a good version in capsule form, works out cheaper than syrup version.

Glad you're feeling better.

FrannyandZooey · 03/06/2007 16:16

I actually feel a bit hopped up LOL

ah well you have to take your thrills where you can find them IMO, and mine is manky old spinach powder

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 03/06/2007 16:27

what IS spirulina anyway and why should it be good for our health? Isn't it one of the things Gillian Mc Fraud is always on about?
