After having felt completely grim for over 2 weeks, I threw myself at the mercy of my local health food shop and was sold this and this

I started taking them on Friday, felt like I had been hit by a brick yesterday and then today....

......I feel fantastic, the best I have felt for weeks

I want to go out and do stuff but dp has banned me and says I have to stay in and rest

but seriously, if anyone is suffering with persistent colds and stuff and feeling rundown, I would SO recommend these two things

(you may of course wait to see if I drop dead in the course of the week)

don't faint at the prices but if it gets you from feeling shite to feeling fab I reckon it is a bargain

Excellent.

As he keeps reminding me, I am supposed to be a scientist...

FrannyandZooey · 03/06/2007 16:31

Look I don't understand a word of it, therfore it must be Proper Science

Cell walls?!

FrannyandZooey · 03/06/2007 16:32

Fox the elderberry is a liquid and tastes quite nice

the superfood is a powder and smells of pissy old nettles

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 03/06/2007 16:33

it says the superfood thing has broken cell walls

I don't want to know why

plus "faecium" and "verrucaria" or something

TooTicky · 03/06/2007 16:34

I tried some leaf curd once. I imagine your green stuff tastes similar.

beckybrastraps · 03/06/2007 16:34

Oh, the foods have cell walls. That's OK. As you were...

FrannyandZooey · 03/06/2007 16:34

"leaf curd"

is that like lemon curd?

JoolsToo · 03/06/2007 16:35

I've used Spirulina, the tablets made me gag and can't say i felt any different.

fillyjonk · 03/06/2007 16:35

franny you know i need to go at this one

am wrestling with important ant related questions atm

foxinsocks · 03/06/2007 16:36

pissy nettles dragged through algae

v pleased it worked for you (didn't realise you'd been feeling crap - sorry to hear that)

will monitor your health this week to see if it's worthwhile taking

lionheart · 03/06/2007 16:36

Managed to avoid the TCEs then? Excellent.

fillyjonk · 03/06/2007 16:37

though i am being unfair, it does look ok

TooTicky · 03/06/2007 16:38

In the way that tofu is bean curd.... well, it was fairly dense and very green. I tried it at a vegan fair. A hairy man was giving away tiny samples and selling, I think, leaf curd truffles.

FrannyandZooey · 03/06/2007 16:40

Filly I KNOW

tell me about it

(yes my god I have been feeling truly AWFUL)

but you know I am sitting here kind of buzzing

It was an act of desperation (you may remember doctor said sod your liver, your pins and needles and now your scabby fluey cold, and don't come back till August) and I can not knock it

OP posts:
Greensleeves · 03/06/2007 16:40

Bummer, I would really consider getting this (I mostly feel like a sack of shit) but for the fact that I am inherently mistrustful of probiotic/prebiotic/engineered weird bacteria (bifidus digestivum )

Does it reeeaaaalllly work Franny? Are you sure?

I am very tempted to get some, but the bacteria.....

FrannyandZooey · 03/06/2007 16:40

Filly is it ant world related? I may be able to help

lionheart I am being dense but I don't get the TCE thing

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 03/06/2007 16:42

yes yes Greeny I KNOW

well all I can say is watch this space

if I fall over again tomorrow you can delete this thread

but the thing that made me go and get it in the first place is that the woman who sells this stuff is the most glowingly healthy, naturally beautiful and serene person I have ever met

and this is what SHE takes

OP posts:
beckybrastraps · 03/06/2007 16:42

at Antworld.

Half of our highly expensive mail order ants have perished. And they are away from the window, covered over, not overfed, not underfed, watered but not overwatered.

Grrrrr

FrannyandZooey · 03/06/2007 16:43

oh dear Becky

oh dear

filthymindedvixen · 03/06/2007 16:43

I feel radiant and glowing and marvellous - but that is cos i have lived off Guinness for five whole days. It is good for you. I BELIEVE!

beckybrastraps · 03/06/2007 16:43

Ds is very sad.

TooTicky · 03/06/2007 16:43

Oh, we had an Ant World.

foxinsocks · 03/06/2007 16:44

ooh becky, are you in London? I have a whole ant hill desperate for relocation.

beckybrastraps · 03/06/2007 16:45

Sadly no.

Dh is going to get some more from the garden. Not spending any more money on the bloody things.

And we shall keep topping it up while ds is asleep.
