Goodnight you badasses X

worleythewisp · 27/02/2007 20:48

i secretley would love to work on the tills in tescos, quite a few of think it must be so nice to have no worries, just sit there and serve customers. but then the general public can be right arses sometimes.
when i did my alevels i worked in safeways (aka morrisons)in the dry cleaning bit, ironing for 4 hours at a time (what a s**t job that was ) and the people were so rude its unbelievable sometimes

Jennster · 27/02/2007 20:55

Think I win Voodoo

worleythewisp · 27/02/2007 20:55

voodoo chicken

what is voodoo chicken????
am i nieave (or however you spell it?)?

Jennster · 27/02/2007 20:56

I've just clicked on my name and my profile comes up, but why haven't I got a file on the right?

Jennster · 27/02/2007 20:59

yummy yummy food in my tummy.

worleythewisp · 27/02/2007 20:59

ergh gross jenn!!!

Jennster · 27/02/2007 21:03

I worked in Morrisons when I was doing my GCSEs to Alevels. Public are twunts. Most people assume you are doing the job because that is your job. Nothing wrong with serving on a till but when they realised you were a student and doing they suddenly changed their attitude. £1.97 was my starting wage! Ken Morrison is a tightwad Yorkshire man. I was superfast on the till and worked in admin too. God how many hangovers have I nursed in Morrisons!

Jennster · 27/02/2007 21:04

Sorry food comment was nothing to do with picture post.

worleythewisp · 27/02/2007 21:04

have you set your profile to be viewed as yet? did you pick who you wanted to see your profile, or make it public?

Jennster · 27/02/2007 21:11

I put you lot as my 3 friends and so not public. Didn't notice anything about viewing though...

worleythewisp · 27/02/2007 21:39

i may have just made that up though.. i will have a look.
i still havnt made it to bed, have been playing solitare and reading about this tamba thing??i missed out on something there.. its sounds quite an amusing read her posts must have been!!
my life is so boring in comparison....

Jennster · 27/02/2007 21:40

Tamba??? Not seen anything about that but oooo oooo oooo I've had a couple of very gentle braxton hicks and baby is sommersaulting again.

DeputyMacDawg · 28/02/2007 09:13

jennster, that verruca was a very special surprise at this time of the day

As for the image challenge what about THIS
And THIS is just plain WRONG

here's me doing some Pole dancing !!!!

Catch you all later.

VoodooChickenhead · 28/02/2007 12:15

wow!!!!
firstly...those verrucas are similar to mine!!! Gross.

secondly...'eat hoof bitch' is the winner for me...I will never think of my little ponies in the same way

thirdly...I too worked at safeway, stacking 'soft dairy' aka yoghurts. I spent 30% of the time in a freezing chiller , and only got gloves after 2yrs! I worked there for 3yrs altogether, left when the manager took to pulling my plait (yikes!)

I begged for till training but they were too crap to let me, probably why I wantto do it now.

Why are thepublic so rude? I am always too nice as a customer. I have no balls.

I work in a shop and boy, have we seen some odd behaviour...but I am famous for being the 'salesperson who says the wrong thing to the customer'

VoodooChickenhead · 28/02/2007 12:17

eg. a woman aged about 50 came in with a huge limp...

I said ' Oh my goodness what have you done? Have you been ski-ing?'

She said ' No, I was born with it'

Jesus why did I say that!!!!!
In effect, I teased a cripple woman!

I also asked a man with a funny voice how long he'd had that terrible cold...he said, what cold?
I said, well, you know, your voice...
He said 'that's how I speak'
CRINGE!!!

VoodooChickenhead · 28/02/2007 12:21

I am famous for it at work.

I also helped a man with a black eye...
I said 'look at you, have you been street-fighting!'
he said 'bit of boxing, yeah'
I said oooh I went kickboxing a few times, what kind of boxing do you do...'
he said 'professional'

he turned out to be RICKY HATTON
who is rather famous in this area...
duh!

DeputyMacDawg · 28/02/2007 16:41

Foot in mouth syndrome in effect there Voods

WARNING-Voodoo's about

My dd has lobbed all her beautifully chopped apple on the floor and is cheerfully trundling it into the carpet with her V-Tech walker...
Why do I even bother ???

Jennster · 28/02/2007 20:54

I concede defeat with the my little ponies.

My dispenser once told a woman she couldn't buy a tablet because she was pregnant when she wasn't. We had discussed her being pregnant earlier, when in fact she was just incredibly bloated. She looked more pregnant than I was at the time and I was quite pregnant.

worleythewisp · 28/02/2007 21:45

any of you twitchers??
im trying to answer ds1's cub quiz, and its proving more difficult than i thought.

help sp far but im being thick still

VoodooChickenhead · 28/02/2007 23:06

god worley they arehard.sorry.

My sister just phoned to say she's...

PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!!
due Oct 28

17 mths between dd and her cousin-to-be

How damn exciting!! She must have got up the duff even before her honeymoon!!!!!!!!!!
Im in shock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

worleythewisp · 01/03/2007 13:15

yay!! pass on our congrats, so is she a mumsnetter too? or will be soon?

mine dont have any cousins, my brother is too busy working offshore and then having luxury holidays and travelling with his mates and dp's brother and his wife are too busy living their dream in the states and snowboarding everyweekend. although she is getting broody, she wants to wait till dp's brother is 30 (this year-shes 31), i keep sending her piccies of ds2.
i have 17 cousins so at least ds1 and 2 have lots of sort of half cousins to play with.

ds2 has just had half a hotcross bun for his lunch, followed by sultanas and bannana, i have to limit his banana intake as he would eat the whole thing. he then still wanted our lunch so i gave him 2 of those big organic carrot crisp things too. i dont know where he puts it, hes now only just 141b 10 and now fitting in to 6-9 month clothes at 8 months.

DeputyMacDawg · 01/03/2007 19:51

That's great news!!!

Worley, I checked quiz but looks like it's all done. I knew the answers too
