You're doing well if you're even upright, mummywheel! I'm mostly bed bound for days after chemo, even with better anti sickness. Just one of these things.

I was up at 8am to force some breakfast down before taking my meds then returned to bed till around 11am and stayed in my PJ's all day. DH couldn't believe how pale I was last night - he said I looked like a ghost.

My white blood cell count was low and had to have my bloods tested again yesterday. Luckily it had risen and I was able to have my treatment.

Feeling a bit concerned Had a call from the hospital yesterday. My oncologist wants me to go in to see him today!? Wasn't due to see him till next week! I asked what it was about, and he just said he'd rather talk face to face!

Cue a sleepless night for me! Appt is at 12! Anyone who can spare a hand to hold, I would be very grateful! Or anyone who wants to tell me this is normal and I shouldn't worry!!! (maybe I'm just his favourite patient!)

Hello really absolutely no experience to offer but have both my holds to hold. Not surprised you had a sleepless night, let's hope, it is another case of gloomy consultancy. Please let us all know how you get on, I will be thinking of you.

Really my first consultant used to pull my appointments forward all the time, and it freaked me out on every occasion. When I questioned her about this she'd just say things like, oh your results were back so thought there was no point in leaving you to wait longer, or that her schedule had changed and she was no longer available on the previously agreed date. I can't tell you not to worry as you're doing that already, but I'm holding your hand.

Oh really what a worry, probably is just like handbags said though it just works better for him today than next week. Will hold your hand and do let us know

Have found a holiday we'd like to book for Easter but bit nervous as we had to cancel 2 last year.

Looking at lanzarote really. I just want a sunbed,pool, good books on my kindle and maybe a cocktail ! Hope the time passes quickly for you this morning while you wait for your appointment

Thanks Wren my oncologist is never on time, even if I've had an early appt he's always running late! So I'm predicting my appt will be nearer 1/1.30

Off to meet a friend for a coffee to try and pass the time!!

Malt get moving with that holiday! I planned a winter sun trip in January as I was by then on hormone pills. DH was busy at work so we didn't get away and then I was put back onto chemo (oral this time) and Onc says I can't go abroad whilst taking the oral chemo. So stuck in UK and wondering if I can get as far as Guernsey!
Really hope all goes well with your appointment and that you don't have to wait too long.

Lily I hope you get a break soon, there are some lovely spots in the uk it's just the weather isn't it !
Will book ours this weekend I think and hopefully nothing bad will happen in the next 4 weeks. I remember when I used to book holidays a year in advance and never thought anything would happen to make us cancel, never again.

Hello all. so excited to post my good news just found out lymph nodes clear and margins also yipeeee.feel so very lucky hope this is the start of good news from now on.Really hope your news has been positive and to everyone else waiting.Feel good for the first time in seven weeks,cannot imagine how i would have coped without the gang,thank you x

Thanks Malt,back in on Monday to see consultant and have been told to expect a letter from oncologist soon as cancer was her 2 positive.Feel i made a good choice though with surgery first rather than chemo.Feel ready to face chemo but think it will be about four weeks til it gets started.will post details when i get them as i need all the advice i can get.hope everyone has a relaxing friday night.
