Sorry about all the itchiness....hope I didn't set anything off! :)
Ds2 has had his first dose of steroids, no problems. Bless him.
Spent most of last night feeling very nauseous and headache.
Bluergh.
Hope everyone has a good day today x

Grockle · 09/04/2013 07:49

I'm back in bed, feeling awful - all fuzzy headed & cold. Probably because I was awake for hours in the night Angry

I'm going to try to do some work - thank goodness I can do it in bed. I'm glad I got my travel kettle now! I have ordered a proper little hospitality tray, like you get in hotel rooms so I can have the kettle on it, plus a couple of cups, some little pots of milk & envelopes of tea. [old lady]

God, that sounds ace grockle.
I want one now! :)
Hope you feel better later.
Day 2 of new windows has commenced and they plumber is coming to service the boiler later.
I know how to party :)

Grockle · 09/04/2013 11:35

It's fab - I don't know why I didn't do this before. I wanted a teasmade for ages but this is even better.

I am listening to a very depressing programme on R4 about loneliness. I should get up really. I have a plumbing problem... plumber coming on Thursday. See, non-stop party here too.

What can I feed my student tonight?

Right, naptime. I'm so tired the room is spinning and I feel sick. Does anyone else get that? It's like being really drunk, just before you are sick. Not that I've been that drunk for many, many years. I barely drink these days because I feel so rotten, I do not want to do anything that will make me feel at all unwell.

ArbitraryUsername · 09/04/2013 13:45

I'm feeling crap due to insomnia last night although I did manage to get a post deleted for pointing out that the ok was utterly bonkers, and she well and truly was. I'm working in bed but I can't get the VLE to work n my iPad. It's cold though because the workmen have the door open dwnstairs so I don't want to leave my duvet in order to mark the assignments that just came in.

fuzzpig · 09/04/2013 14:04

Belle that sounds exactly like what I feel when I have tonsillitis - can't swallow and feel like something is stabbing my eardrum! Do you think you'd better see a GP?

CouthySaysEatChoccyEggs · 09/04/2013 14:26

I have to finish shopping for DS1's birthday tomorrow.

I am on a bus.

However, I have a VERY dodgy tummy, have had to take Imodium (will avoid cocodamol today, otherwise will never poo again!!) (TMI!!)

Joints terrible.

Still having period from hell. And still bleeding from LLETZ too.

And I have a flipping cough.

If anything else goes wrong with my body this week, I'm sending myself to the knacker's yard to be turned into glue!!!

CouthySaysEatChoccyEggs · 09/04/2013 14:27

Belle, that DOES sound like tonsillitis. Please go see a doctor and get AB's.

Grockle · 09/04/2013 15:30

Ooo, Arb... I must have missed that thread. Well done! Sorry you are suffering today. I tried to have a nap but just as I was drifting off, DS rang. I got a second wind then so had a bath, walked to town, stopped in at Drs to make apt for next week (re bleeding between periods) then went to the hospital to have blood tests done. My hands are aching now because I used my walking stick. See... even if I used an aid to help me walk faster or further, it doesn't help all that much because it causes pain elsewhere! Grrr.

Belle - do you often have sore throats? I get them all the time. And a cough too. Sorry about the floattness. Hope you can get checked out at the dr.

What's LLETZ, couthy?

Anyone else get outrageously stressed at relatively small things?! I have always been like that but it is so much worse now. I chose my new phone yesterday (don't even want one but old one dead) but it turns out to be shite in one particular way (memory) and I have to exchange it not get a refund and I'm so upset I actually want to cry Blush :(

belleshell · 09/04/2013 17:24

wont be able to get a GP appt till the 3rd of never, as it isnt an emergency. if it doesnt get any better then i will make an emergency appt. thankfully im not in work till next week now, so thats a god send.

DD has her friend sleeping tonight, god i hope they dont squeal, it goes throu me at the best of times, even the dogs heavy breathing is ringing around my head.

Sounds like you have all been up to lots, dont forget to save some spoons

x

Badvoc · 09/04/2013 17:29

Fuzzpig.
I can do yes.
Especially round my time of the month.
Feel very tearful, anxious and overwhelmed.
Never used to be like that.
Just took co codamol for the pain and alcohol to help me feel less pmt ish :)

fuzzpig · 09/04/2013 18:12

Yes I am due, well, a couple of days ago Hmm and the hormones definitely aren't helping!

Badvoc · 09/04/2013 18:51

I am a proper hormonal mess when I get my period ATM.

crashdoll · 09/04/2013 18:57

My theme tune for the day "I'm all out of spoons, I'm so lost without you, I'm all out of spoons, what am I without you?" I have a massive uni essay to finish and my head is just marshmallow.

Grockle · 09/04/2013 18:58

Fuzz... I get very upset about little things. I'm prone to fretting & feeling anxious anyway but I'm much worse now. I put it down to being so stressed that I cannot deal with anything. I am probably worse before my period although because my cycle is so unpredictable, I don't know that I'm being emotional & horrible til it's too late.

Belle...my dog snores like a pig & but the sound doesn't bother me. I think it must be low frequency sounds that are worst for me. Hope the girls get some sleep.

You've got that song in my head now crash :)

buildingmycorestrength · 09/04/2013 19:08

I use an app called MyDays to track my periods as they can be erratic. I put in all the dates back to 2010 (am a nerd that way) and it is remarkably good at predicting. If I find myself weeping I check it and am usually premenstrual...

Grockle · 09/04/2013 19:10

I wanted to ask something...

Several years ago, I was on the 10/10 threads (trying to do 10 mins of exercise & eat 10 portions of fruit & veg everyday). We all listed what we'd eaten that day & I found it really helpful to be accountable. I was wondering if any of you would mind if I did that on here. If I had to admit what I've eaten, then I'm more likely to eat properly. Something like this:

Oodles of tea
white toast with too much butter and marmalade
Time Out Blush
Yoghurts x 2 with pomegranate seeds
handful of nuts
Crisps Blush

See... now I feel embarrassed by the amount of junk I ate & can see that it's no wonder I don't feel well. I will try to eat better tomorrow.

What do you think? I could start a separate thread, I suppose.

Grockle · 09/04/2013 19:11

Building, I use iPeriod for the same thing. It's really helpful. I also had an app for toileting Blush but I forget to add info to that. I should do really because I can go days without, um, going.Blush

OP posts:
fuzzpig · 09/04/2013 19:21

I have periodtracker but keep forgetting. Mine are pretty regular though so not too much of an issue.

As for the other thing. Is there really an app for, erm, that? Blush

fuzzpig · 09/04/2013 19:22

Oh and as for the writing down food thing, sure why not :)

I am SO ordering pomegranate seeds. Love them.

Grockle · 09/04/2013 19:27

I love pomegranate seeds too. I feel so lazy ordering prepared fruit & veg, grated cheese etc... it's so not me but means I can more or less prepare meals occasionally without having to chop & peel etc. Part of me is so embarrassed & the other part is so glad that you can buy prepared food. Imagine if you had these kinds of illnesses in the 1950s.

OP posts:
ArbitraryUsername · 09/04/2013 19:33

Oh yes. Public admission of crap diet!

Today I have had:
A Moroccan chicken flatbread thingy from M&S
2 Jaffa cakes
Pizza and salad

The PILs are here, so I don't have to eat piles of crap. In fact, MIL would cook if I needed her too (she's a star). I'm just about to do an online shop so there'll be food for easy preparation.
