Getting long again.
Batters, I got your CAT, thanks so much. I tried to email you but it bounced back, so I'll try again later. (My answer is positive!)

Droile :) at last, some meaningful local support. So pleased for you and very sorry not to have mailed you recently. Will be in touch. Thanks for the update and very best of luck with the move. Have you got some help locally while you are in transit?

Cristina7 · 07/03/2006 10:18

Gosh, you're going through a lot, Droile. Good to hear you are getting some support.

Clarinet60 · 08/03/2006 11:25

Thanks Cristina. Yes thanks Marina, I think we'll be ok. Did you get those photos at Christmas? Thanks for yours, they are lovely.
I can't speak highly enough of the Rainbow Trust - they have visited again this morning to talk about a help plan timetable for us. It's all really well organised and they are so familiar with all our issues - it's hard to believe they do it all on charity funds.
Is that you with a new name, jimjams?

OP posts:
Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 08/03/2006 11:29

Was only thinking about you this morning Droile.

So pleased to hear that you've got some decent support at long last. Smile

Blu · 08/03/2006 11:31

Wow! Very pleased to hear about the Rainbow Trust - and how maddeningly frustrating that you had to go through all that time alone and unsupported. It almost seems as if people get suport only by chance or accident!
Moving House seems brave - what's that all about? Are you excited?

getbakainyourjimjams · 08/03/2006 15:16

Yes I was baka for a while after jimjams then this.

Glad they're providing lots of useful support. Will you get to meet other parents in the same sort of situation through them?

Clarinet60 · 08/03/2006 18:11

Yes, we will meet other parents, especially if we use their respite- holiday-house.
Moving - can't wait, it doesn't faze me at all, but I'm weird like that. I'm looking forward to more space bedroom-wise, as we're really cramped upstairs here.

OP posts:
SorenLorensen · 08/03/2006 18:28

Droile, glad you've posted Smile And I'm so glad that you are finally getting some support. Tend to think you're a bit weird for not being fazed by moving though - we last did it 5 years ago and I still shudder at the thought of ever doing it again Grin

(marthamoo, btw)

tamum · 08/03/2006 18:38

Oh Droile, I have been thinking of you. That's great news about the Rainbow Trust, though not before time. I hope the move goes really well- are you staying in the same general area?

Marina · 08/03/2006 19:36

Droile I did, I am sorry, I thought I'd been in touch off board since then Blush
Your two boys are absolutely gorgeous and you can see they take after their parents :).
Spring trip when all settled?

Clarinet60 · 09/03/2006 09:01

You probably have Marina, I'm muddled. Spring trip, yes!
Just another local village Tamum.
Soren, I like getting rid of loads of crap and starting afresh. I like organising houses and should probably do it for a living, really. I'm just a big fiddling faffer - I'm always fiddling with things. Every time a certan relative comes round, the table is in a different position.

I will get my skates on with that then. Very much looking forward to meeting you in RL :) :)

Clarinet60 · 27/04/2006 09:23

Quick update - we went to Alder Hey for his scan results on Tuesday and there's been no appreciable change in the tumour, apart from some thickening, so we're very pleased. Chemotherapy will now be delayed again for at least 4 months.

OP posts:
tamum · 27/04/2006 09:25

Oh Droile, wonderful news. I've been wondering how you were all doing.
xx

ggglimpopo · 27/04/2006 09:25

So very pleased to hear that Droile, what good news.

I lost your address when my comp went down - could you resend please?

How are you all? How is the writing going?

suzywong · 27/04/2006 09:26

Such good news!

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 27/04/2006 09:28

Droile - how did you find this thread? I searched and searched last week. Have mailed you; so pleased it went well and the chemo is being put off a while longer Smile
