Getting long again.
Batters, I got your CAT, thanks so much. I tried to email you but it bounced back, so I'll try again later. (My answer is positive!)

Oh, bad luck Droile
Hope you are all fully recovered from the bug now and thinking of you as we all enter 2006.
Glad the DVD is a hit

Blu · 03/01/2006 20:45

Oh no! You poor things - you should have posted and we could have sent some good absorbing grown-up dvds for you to watch in bed!

Thomcat · 03/01/2006 20:49

Hey Droile. So sorry you've all been poorly
Glad the DVD was a hit though

Did you get my email btw, the one in response to the Black Magic????

TC xx

Clarinet60 · 04/01/2006 17:02

Droile, I'm sorry you all had a pukey Christmas - what a bummer I hope you are all feeling better now and making up for the lack of festivities by pigging out now!

I'm glad the you know what was a hit

Clarinet60 · 05/01/2006 11:09

As I read this Marthamoo, I'm pigging on a mid-morning toast snack, so - yes. Feeling a bit better now, but was really low back there.
All your kindnesses, solid and otherwise, have really helped me.

MARINAtivityPlay · 05/01/2006 11:09

Mmmm, toast. That reminds me...
Glad you are feeling well enough to tuck in now Droile

bundle · 05/01/2006 11:49

right. off to get tea to go with my hotcross bun. glad you're better droile

Marina · 17/01/2006 19:25

Not seen you around much lately Droile, how are things at the mo? Will try and mail you soon in any case

Clarinet60 · 25/01/2006 09:33

Hi Marina, things are a bit crap, just been feeling low. Nothing has changed apart from more support from local GP and HV, which has helped, also a really good community children's nurse who is scandalised by what's not happened so far.
Been thinking about you too.
xx

hoxtonchick · 25/01/2006 09:36

i was thinking about you yesterday droile. sorry things are crap, but good that you're getting more support. xxx

Potty1 · 25/01/2006 10:16

Droile - sorry that things are still tough. Good though that you are getting a bit more support. Our pead. community nurse has always been a star. Lean on yours if you need her, hopefully she'll be the same.

Blu · 25/01/2006 10:37

Hi Droile - well, at last someone has recognised what has NOT been put in place for you, I do feel you have been left terribly isolated and alone.
It's a very cruel time you are going through, and i don't suppose there is a way to feel much better, except to know that you are being the best Mummy to your boys, and have worked so hard to get the best medical treatment for DS2.

How is DS2, in himself?
How is it all affecting DS1?

bossykate · 25/01/2006 10:42

good that you are getting more support now. sorry to hear you are feeling low - understandable though. xxx

Marina · 25/01/2006 10:46

Blu has said it all really, Droile. It is good to hear from you (please never feel you can't post or mail because you are feeling down ), and good to hear that at last you have a local health professional acknowledging how you have all been let down. Support at Alder Hey is a good thing to have but you also need and deserve some help in your community.
Lots of love, will try and mail and organise that trip soon

bundy · 25/01/2006 10:48

droile, January is a bit of a shit month for everyone, I'm sure it feels even more so for you. I too was thinking about you, because Elmer was on the tv...(ie the Blanky lookee-likeee elephant)

ScummyMummy · 25/01/2006 10:50

Hiya Droile. Sorry things are crap. January can be a miserable month in the best of circumstances and you are having such a very tough time. Glad the community nurse is on board. Loads of love to you. xxxxxxxxxxx

23rd January officially saddest day of the year, everyone
Ds immediately said Elmer when he saw the blanket

Misspiggy · 25/01/2006 13:47

Droile - nothing to add really except to say that I'm thinking of you. (((hugs)))

Clarinet60 · 25/01/2006 22:04

Hi and thanks for the hugs everyone. Elmer is very cosy and we all love it/him.
DS2 is still really well and sweet in himself and DS1 is fine. The January thing is correct, with bells on.

Had an excellent visit from the Rainbow Trust last week, with lots of support offrered, both practical and emotional. If only we'd been referred sooner!

Also on a brighter note, we're hoping to move house soon (not far) so excited about that.
