I have been completely c**p and haven't CAT'd you - sorry - will do, but it sounds as if you have enough on your plate just now. Let us know what is happening? I don't think we can understand what this is like for you, but we won't be afraid to listen, so don't be afraid to talk to us about it.

Thanks for these lovely messages everyone.
It went ok but was very long-winded, as we had to wait 2 hours for his anaesthetic, so didn't get home till past 8pm. He was groggy but ok. We go back next Tuesday for the results (in the room with all the people), so will update more after that.

Didn't get chance to see the social workers that Marina so kindly found for us, so will try that another day.

I haven't been feeling so good these past few weeks - just coming to terms with everything. My Christmas present list has halved, so every cloud has a silver lining!

I finished the book and sent it off but I'm not happy with it, so I doubt anything will come of it. I'm pleased that the first three chapters and synopsis got a good response though, as I can build on that hopefully.

Could now be the time to put your foot down and say NO to all the people next week Droile? Surely you have the right to say this if you prefer to see just the staff actively involved in treating ds2?
Have been thinking of you, thanks so much for the update and glad all went OK yesterday.
Maybe catch up with the CLIC team next week? Would it be a help to ask if one of them could be present when you see the consultant again, a) for moral support and b) so they get a first-hand impression of what your family is dealing with? Just a thought.
Sorry you don't feel more optimistic re your book, but...hey ho, if Marian Keyes and "Nicci French" get published...
