Hey Mouse, got it very hard to get out of bed this morning, planned breakfast was scrambled eggs, turkey bacon and grilled mushrooms but this quickly turned into scrambled eggs on brown bread toasted. Had woeful thirst on me this morning so invested in bottle of diet coke (not a fan of diet coke but seems to have become my new addiction:))

Mouseface · 18/01/2011 10:39

Morning desire Smile

I had a toasted english muffin and a scraping of 'I Can't Believe It's Not Butter' except I bloody can - YUK!

DH bought it after I sent him out to get Clover. Hmm

He said, 'Have you seen how much Clover is? £1.75 Shock so I got this instead'

Hmm..... yummy. Pretend butter, with only 10% more 'less saturated fat' than Clover.

It's bloody vile. Grin

Anyway, rant over. What are your plans for today? Bike ride? Swimming? Walk?

I currently can't take Nemo out for a stroll as the front of the drive has been dug out by the builders. We're house bound for today so will have to do circuits around the house. Grin

Managed 5 minutes on my wobbler this morning Mouse Blush, don't own a bike and terrified of water! Planning 30 minute walk this evening if I can manage to stay awake after work!

Mouseface · 18/01/2011 11:05

30 mins a day if the ideal but even every other day will help burn off cals.

Do you sit down at work? If so, you could try swinging your legs under your desk, standing to reach things on your desk more, getting up every 20 mins or so to kick start your metabolism again, changing position in your seat.......

I hate sitting down jobs. I love to be on my feet rushing around. Those days have gone for now though. Bloomin rubbish pelvis.

OP posts:
desiretochange · 18/01/2011 11:40

Am swinging my legs as I type Mouse

Mouseface · 18/01/2011 11:42

Excellent Grin

Watching last night's One Born Every Minute. Oh I want another baby! I miss my bump. I loved having a bump.

Oh well. Will have to wait until I become a Gma. Grin

Ham salad for lunch and more washing so if I keep pottering around, keeping moving, I should burn some cals off!

OP posts:
desiretochange · 18/01/2011 14:11

Just had wrap for lunch with tomatoes, onion, chicken and sweetcorn and small bit of salad cream, I know I know wrap is fattening but didn't want bread . . walked really fast and up a hill on way back to work so hopefully I have worked some of it off, going to keep swinging my legs as well:)

Mouseface · 18/01/2011 14:17

desire - nope, a wrap has around 170-200 cals in it. 2 pieces of bread has around 240 cals in and more fat (2 slices) than 1 wrap.

I have wraps quite a bit. Especially lighter choice ones.

And the filling that you had is low fat too! I think you're doing great. Smile

Just kep moving at your desk, it stops your metabolism dropping and your digestive system getting sluggish and stuck.

Plenty of water too, help to flush out your system. Smile

Plus, the extra water means more trips to the loo = burning off even more cals! Grin

Mouse you got yourself a job . . you can be my official weight loss consultant :) How is your diet going today?

Mouseface · 18/01/2011 14:38

All good so far, less than 500 cals so dinner should be okay, fajitas with no extras. Smile

Diet Coke and water.

Super re the job, you're on! It looks like it's just you and me today anyway, we can cheer each other on.

Have we scared everyone away I wonder?? Really want to put effort into losing the lard, my children got me voucher for Dorothy Perkins (with personal shopper thrown in because am useless at deciding what suits me) for Christmas so don't want to make appointment to buy fat clothes iyswim??

Neither would I re the fat clothes.

Na, I think that the rest of them are off having a life today, that's all and Dub's craptop is bust until tomorrow Smile

So, you say you have about 2 stone to lose? Have you thought about eating 5 meals a day instead of 3?

5 low fat, low cal, low carb meals instead of breafast, lunch and a big dinner?

I did Atkins when I git married and lost loads just be cutting carbs out completely.

You could try reducing your carbs, or making sure that the last meal of the day has no carbs, knowing that you will have less chance of buring them off.

Swap full fat for half or no fat. Watch your refined sugar intake and more importantly, SALT!

Sleep - that's another must have to losing weight. Get as much 'quality' sleep as you can. Wind down before you go to bed. Relax. Get into a good routine before going to bed. Empty your head, reduce your stress levels as best you can.

OP posts:
desiretochange · 18/01/2011 15:42

Think the problem is that I have been having 5-6 meals a day, want to give 3 meals a day with fruit in between a bash :) and just for the record I am seriously not a fruit lover so that will take some effort!

Mouseface · 18/01/2011 15:46

You have to do what works for you. Portion control is really important. Make sure you don't 'over-do' carbs or fatty foods. Your plate should look bright and colourful, avoid beige foods! Grin

Plenty of veg. It'll help fill you up. Smile

Afternoon. I had a friend round for lunch then fell asleep.

Feeling a bit tearful today.

Dubs, you are greatly missed xx

I will weigh in next Monday and start from there, seriously need to get into shape. I look about 5 months pregnant. And no, before you ask, I'm not.

desiretochange · 18/01/2011 15:51

Wow Mouse you are good at this :)
Hi Bitter sorry you are feeling tearful today, any particular reason or is it none of my beeswax ??

Don't know the full story SAF but am feeling a bit Envy at what sounds like a fun day yesterday for you.
Mouse I get through approx 5 cups of black coffee and 3 cups of tea a day, to lose weight should I cut these down (don't take sugar)

Mouseface · 18/01/2011 16:20

desire - not to lose weight, but maybe replace 2 or 3 of them with some water or fruit tea? Caffine actually supresses your appetite slightly.

I'd say just make sure that you stay hydrated.

SAF - mwah xx

Bitter - hugs lady xx

Hey Saf, hope all is ok, naughtiness sounds intriging.

Desire, My Dog died on Sunday, hence me being a bit tearful.

Fajitas for dinner, I've not eaten properly today.
