As prompted from another thread :) Welcome, one and all!

Hi boob rails didn't get installed because of snow - fitter could make it but supply depot closed !
Can't concentrate on audio books as have low tolerance of noise levels - finding iPhone with kindle good as can download books easier than traipsing to shops and can put it down pick up anywhere.
Can't sleep as lots of back and groin pain, fell in snow on way to hairdressers even though DH with me. Not sure if it's early signs of labour but don't really want to moan on antenatal thread as one of our group has had some really bad news about her baby today - no heartbeat and she was due in next 2 weeks or so Sad

SirBoobAlot · 03/12/2010 10:36

Oh God how horrific :( Moan away on here. Sorry you're having a tough time.

MrsSnaplegs · 03/12/2010 14:12

Had a show this morning baby 3/5 engaged with MW check this am !

SirBoobAlot · 03/12/2010 20:41

Squeeeeeee!! How are you feeling? Won't be long now Xmas Grin

OP posts:
MrsSnaplegs · 04/12/2010 01:25

Nothing really since although felt like a mild contraction that woke me half an hour ago! Will keep you upto date on here but will start a proper labour thread once owo has had hers!!

MrsSnaplegs · 04/12/2010 07:39

Still here!

SirBoobAlot · 04/12/2010 19:02

How about now? Grin

I had some wine with lunch (MN meet, local) and am now feeling it. Sigh. But I had a good time :)

OP posts:
MrsSnaplegs · 04/12/2010 20:17

Still here! A few mild contractions about every 20 mins or so for past 3 hours managing with a bit of breathing and a hot water bottle for my back! Waters still intact so could be another day yet!
Jealous of the glass of wine - we haven't got any in so may have to have a real drink just to "relax" me a little Grin I don't do well on alcohol anymore but I do still enjoy it!
Hope you had a nice lunch!

SirBoobAlot · 04/12/2010 21:13

Ohh I feel all excited for you! Do you have a TENS machine? I swear, I could be a salesperson for them after my labour Blush But seriously, I loved it.

Damn, a real drink? Xmas Wink Problem is with drinking, I find, is that its great whilst it lasts. But as it starts to ease off, the pain comes back with a vengeance. Was a lovely lunch, thanks, am knackered now, but was nice.

Forgive me if this has been asked, but do you know if you're having a boy or a girl?

OP posts:
MrsSnaplegs · 05/12/2010 05:43

No tens machine, although I have found acupuncture useful in past have never really got on with tens.
Everything eased off over night so will see what today brings!
We know its a boy this time round!
I know what you mean about alcohol making pain worse the day after - not sure why that is but interesting I am not only one!

MrsSnaplegs · 05/12/2010 05:45

How is everyone else coping at the moment ? My posts have become quite self centred with imminent birth!

SirBoobAlot · 05/12/2010 12:45

You're much more interesting at the moment though Xmas Grin

I have never really drunk a lot, but I do still sometimes think "bugger it" and have a few glasses of wine / a cocktail or two. Its so rare I can actually muster the strength (and funds!) to go out, that when I do I like to make the most of it :) Feel fine this morning, or no worse than normal at least.

Am getting ready to move the rest of my stuff over today. Am anxious about how I'll cope...

Currently sitting in car whilst DH takes DD to see the big man in the red suit! Who'd have thought he'd be using a submarine to get around this year!! Must have got it cheap on eBay after the defence cuts Xmas Grin

Did a Tesco run and now regretting it!! Same as yesterday - do a little exercise and have got contractions again! 3 in past half hour - have to wait and see if they settle again like last night.

You live just down the coast from me boob - once I've had this little one I will pop down and we could meet for herbal tea!

Are you in your new place properly yet? How far is it from your family? Will they still be able to help out?

SirBoobAlot · 05/12/2010 17:12

Why aren't you scrubbing the floors? Xmas Grin

Oh do I? Where are you? Wine Herbal tea would be excellent. :)

Have just been over unpacking. Would have been in last week but the snow had other ideas. Will be in pretty soon though. Am going to do my first big grocery shop tomorrow... Thankfully mum is driving me.

Its not that far away, maybe two miles? Far enough away for me to have my space, but close enough to help if I need them. Its ideal. I just need to sort out some form of internet now, because I will go mad without it Xmas Blush

Did DD enjoy Santa?

OP posts:
MrsSnaplegs · 05/12/2010 20:33

I'm near portsmouth so not far away. The -wine- herbal tea sounds good, I'm not back at work until April so will have lots of time!
Mm why am I not scrubbing floors - because my DH won't let me do any housework as that's his domain! Yes I do know how lucky I am!!
Good that your family will still be close - it is important to have that support.
DD loved FC - she was very impressed he is using a submarine this year and DH is now very keen to go back and do the whole visit to the submarine museum!

SirBoobAlot · 05/12/2010 20:48

Oh I love Pompey :) We'll certainly arrange something.

DP is somewhat of a house-work lover too. I don't even bother offering to wash up when we're round there now as he just re-does it anyway! Its fab, isn't it.

Glad they had a good time :) The sub museum is good - when before I was ill - but hard going. Worth seeing, though.

MrsSnaplegs · 07/12/2010 12:42

Morning all how is everyone today?

I am now 40+1 and fed up, tired of not being able to sleep properly and ready for this LO to arrive. Also want him safely here especially after the recent loss on this forum for Cheese and her family Sad

SirBoobAlot · 07/12/2010 21:34

I've been following her threads :( Really feel for the family.

Sending good vibes, and lots of curry and pineapple your way!!

OP posts:
MrsSnaplegs · 08/12/2010 15:01

I've just dug the pineapple out of the cupboard - you know the random tins of "stuff" you have at the back Grin - I had 2 tins in there!!

DH has been helping me bake this afternoon as DD has her school cake sale on Friday so as a treat when he gets back from the school run he is going to help make fudge for himself. I wish I could make it on my own for him but I can't beat things without my arm muscles dying on me so he will have to help!

Still no further indication of this small one appearing - either needs to do it today or wait until Monday as DH has to go to the old house on Saturday to get the last "bits" with a friend in a van.

OT is also due to come back round and reassess now we are in the new house, SW doesn't think it is suitable for us here but the thought of moving again is depressing Sad

Boob how is your house move going? Did you speak to your GP about OT assessment?

SirBoobAlot · 08/12/2010 23:37

MrsS it only works with fresh pineapple I think Grin

I must say I am a bit disappointed, there had been such a delay in your posts, I was convinced you must have given birth! Hope you;re not in too much discomfort.

OP posts:
sharbie · 09/12/2010 00:02

dracschick · 09/12/2010 00:11
