Evening all.

I have found out why DS has been acting up and clingy.I think I mentioned some other kid kept calling him crybaby?

Apparently a gang of 3 or 4 of the older boys have been following him around taunting him. They refuse to call him by his name and will only address him as 'Cry Baby'.They are trying to get him to fight another boy, and being nasty as he refuses.

oh no! school really need to get this sorted, bitter, poor little guy.

Thanks TC, it makes me so angry. A lot of the kids in his school are very streetwise, where as DS still believes we have a toilet goblin called Michelmas McKenzie.

He is still very innocent and trusting and I don't want him to have to be tough and cynical to survive when he has not long turned 5.

bitter - thats really shit. we've had problems like that here. One case I went to the teacher and is now (finally) sorted (think kid is on a written warning), other I spoke directly to the parents.

Poor little thing, I hate bullying at school it can destroy your happiness when you're a child I think the troubles we had were with kids who have older siblings, so much more streetwise than dd.

You should be really proud he had the courage to tell you.

I am proud. Especially as these kids were at his after school club today, and he told me this morning he didn't want to go (I didn't know the reason then). I told him if he didn't want to go get the teacher to call me at hometime.

He told me he made himself go, as he doesn't want these boys to spoil his fun.

No, I only realised how upset he was after the last couple of days.

DH is going tos peak to the teacher tomorrow morning - he doesn't worry about appearing polite like I do.

no, can't, poor woman is obviously depressed.

It's just so sad.

Dopey and bemused. Still at the vet, and may be for a while, but no breaks and seems a bit improved.

He's got not much movement in his back legs (spinal shock) but it looks like it shouldn't be permanent. One eye's pupil is still completely blown, and the vet said when that goes he'll be really sure he's on the mend. Still touch and go, but a bit more go and a little less touch :)

He sounds great bitter :o

Brian, it's tough seeing someone in pain. I bet it's more about the dcs not getting on (as all dcs have others they get on less well with) than about her. But so horrible that it's done behind her back.
