Hello, I'm Bitter and I have lost around two stone, have another 4 or 5 pounds to go.

Come for the healthy eating, stay for the chat. We do more of the latter than the former!

Good, I think. Dh seems to be dealing with his slight dip and is being extra aware of himself. Work is going ok, not thrilling, but not stressful, and going into full-time isn't too much. Dcs are settling into various schools and nurseries. Money worries are waning.

It's all evening out.

Oddly enough, life has been so dramatic for as long as I can remember I'm actually feeling a little deflated. Which is awful since I should really be happy! I'm pretty tired at the moment so that's probably it too.

How're you doing saf? Are you feeling better now? Are the side effects better? I think of you all much more often than I post :)

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 27/09/2010 18:53

Xpost double. Sorry to hear you're living in 1957 :o

Evening.

I am beyond freezing.

My internal thermostat is truly fecked. One miute I'm roasting, the next shivering.

Gah.

Hot cuppa here. And thinking about dinner.

I want my bed but have a long night ahead with feeding Nemo.

Whinge over.

Hey UNO Smile

Double - where I used to live (pre DH) we had a gas fire only. No central heating. And wooden windows.

As soon as I moved out, they put double glazing in, GCH, new kitchens and bathrooms!

Typical. Grin

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 27/09/2010 19:03

I reckon you're right, double. Will I be able to go back to being a normal person? Not that I was ever all that normal, but just being able to be content with normality, rather than swinging between tormented and ecstatic?

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 27/09/2010 19:04

Hey mousey :)

I'm refusing to put the heating on until at least October. My poor children.

mittz · 27/09/2010 19:10

I had to hide that thread.. there was just too much...

Heating isn't going on here yet.

Mouseface · 27/09/2010 19:10

Christ. My father is like that. Mum has MS and he does his best eye rolling face if she wants it on before October.

I told her that she could always set him alight to keep warm Grin

Kidding!!!

Mouseface · 27/09/2010 19:12

Sorry Mittz - X posted. Blush

(((((x)))))

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 27/09/2010 19:17

I hadn't even thought of that mittz. I will keep an eye on myself. Thanks for that.

Sorry you got so low. It's so much easier to be strong when you're fighting. When it's just looking after yourself it's hard to find the time.

We are funny beasts.

I too am avoiding the childhood thread. Sad

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 27/09/2010 19:21

Double, I really hope that is what I want, otherwise I'm screwed! :o

I'm just having a September lull I'm sure. Don't you worry.

Oh and mittz, we can always look after you too, it doesn't have to just be you :)

Can I ask summat Blush?

Do you think life can kind of make your personality split as a way of coping? I get scared. It's like there are several mes. Not on a diagnosable level but just somehow?

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 27/09/2010 19:28

Evening all.

I'm back, how is everybody?

Mouse, glad you got to the dentists.

Brian, hope they get to the bottom of it for Mole (ditto Nemo)

Hey Alice, love the new name.

Glad big school was fun Double.

Hugs to Mittz and Uno, snogs to TC and saf.

I bet I've still left someone out, apologies.

Mittz, everyone has several versions of themselves, depending on the situation.

I wouldn't worry too much about it.

The Bitter who does the school run isn't the bitter who stands her ground at work or has a glass of wine with a friend, iyswim.

TotalChaos · 27/09/2010 19:32

oh god, childhood and school. not a place I like to revisit. still have recurring semi-nightmares about school and loneliness.

mittz - I don't know lots about you but from what you have said I don't think it's a separate personality thing at all - I don't get the impression you "dissociate" - more that because of being mistreated by family, there's the you that gets on with being vibrant, creative, arty etc - but that family pressure can easily tip you back into feeling powerless/anxious etc. I think sometimes one (I include myself in this) can be rather more vulnerable than one thinks to being tipped back into old, bad feelings.

But what if I want to be screwed id? :o

Mittz I think we do all do this, but it becomes more apparent if we're feeling low because it's all more of an effort. At least that's my take on it. Try not to worry.

mittz · 27/09/2010 20:01

Now you see.. lowering the tone is a level all mes can relate to Grin sometimes the lower the better..

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 27/09/2010 20:22

:o

100years · 27/09/2010 20:31
