Hello, I'm Bitter and I have lost around two stone, have another 4 or 5 pounds to go.

Come for the healthy eating, stay for the chat. We do more of the latter than the former!

Oh, and just rest lovely lady, you're still recovering from the weekend. xx

Brian. FFS sweetheart. I so know what you are going through and I am so very sorry that you are. It's so frustrating.

Hey Alice Smile, how are you lovey? Hope things are well.

Brian Sad, I really feel for you (and Mouse), like it isn't a difficult time in itself ....

mittz · 27/09/2010 14:35

Hello Cherry Smile

Mouseface · 27/09/2010 14:38

Hi Cherry Smile

BrianAndHisBalls · 27/09/2010 15:02

hi Alice, hi cherry Smile

right, first things first, amusing tale. Doctors was baby clinic today so loads of people there including a family of about 15. The girl in the group 16 maybe? was having a screaming and i mean screaming row with someone the phone Shock in the middle of the waiting room Shock It was like I was in the audience at JK!!

Thank you so much to everyone (especially you Voley) for kicking my arse to go back to doctors. He says he thinks she has where the tube to the intestines is too narrow, hence the constant vomiting. Has made urgent pedi referral. Could kick myself Ive been arsing around just thinking it was stil the reflux. Still, will be sorted soon.

Was quite bizarre because he said and then asked me if it had been ruled out. I said I had no idea what he was talking about. Quizzical looks all round. Turned out because Id mentioned Fanconi's anemia at the start of the conversation he thought I was medically trained and therefore knew what he meant Grin most weird!

AliceTheBlueArsedFly · 27/09/2010 15:10

Glad the Dr was helpful Brian Smile

Mouseface · 27/09/2010 15:13

Brian - I'm glad that you went back today. Don't feel bad about it, how were you to know? You were just going off what other people told you. Smile

Bless her. She'll get seen and hopefully, they can treat her soon.

I get that a lot with Nemo, the medically trained thing. I suppose it's because I know all of the for his conditions. Grin

And, stop calling me Voley or I will send you Mouse droppings instead of chocolate for your next birthday

BrianAndHisBalls · 27/09/2010 15:20

PYLORIC STENOSIS

is what they think she might have, but just looked it up and not all of it fits.

GERD is the other thing that fits and what she is currently being treated for but that doesn't fit totally either Hmm

Mouse - is a term of endearment as voles are cute little fluffy things with twitchy noses, but I will desist Grin

off to watch second jk while she is asleep. im living it up!!

has to have operation to widen it I think. Usually though its diagnosed before they're 12 weeks so a bit weird. I think it might just be continuation of the GERD and as she's getting bigger the tablet dose isnt enough anymore.

not sure, just need to check its not a symptom of Fanconi's before i shit myself.

Had geneticist call last week. Did all family tree then realised she thought DP was dd1s father. Felt most jk putting her right on that one Grin

got to see geneticist on 11th oct - my wedding anniversary, how lovely!!

Mouseface · 27/09/2010 15:29

Brian -

You mean GORD??

Gastro-oesophageal reflux disorder?

What's GERD?

Nothing 'fits' with Nemo either. What you'll find is that most of the time it's a huge generalisation. They may try to make conditions 'fit' until they are investigated and either ruled ok or confirmed.

Keep going and keep asking! You'll get there.

And ok re the vole comments. If you really see it as cute, then I shall let you off. xx

sorry was using US website where they call it GERD because they spell oesophageal as esophageal! Grin

Am stepping away from pc for a bit because just reading up on Fanconi's anaemia and it can cause digestive difficulties, so am having minor panic, will be fine in an hour. Step away from google is the advice needed! Grin
