Hello, I'm Bitter and I have lost around two stone, have another 4 or 5 pounds to go.

Come for the healthy eating, stay for the chat. We do more of the latter than the former!

SAF - where is SAF going?

Bye Bitter.

Brian - she is only 5 and they never realise how much it hurts you. And let's face it, 'daddy' aka the pserm donor, is only her favourite because he is seen as the treat provider, the one who never tells her off cos he aint there and the one who she gets excited about cos he 'buys' her love.

Don't be so hard on yourself. xxxx

Double - I hate that too, look forward to a lovely meal and it turns out to be yuk.

Hey TC. Smile

Been for a wander with Nemo. Seems brighter but I'm expecting him to go off the boil any minute.

hi tc Smile I think that post should be reported, the pure malice of it shocks and saddens me Grin

saf enjoy your night out, think she was giong out for a meal, lucky bugger.

mouse - good luck with nemo later, hope he feels better and you both get some sleep.

double - thank you, that made me laugh out loud Grin

DD's had 2 barbie dolls today, an ice cream, a tinkerbell doll, a new book and a dvd. (yes I am terrible at 'no') and just kicked off because we didn't buy her any of the yoghurts she likes at supermarket and she only has one left. Shock Have decided my rather enthusistic approach to buying things for her has is creating a monster.

Have decided on strict no present rule from now on till she actually earns one (tidying room, being very good all week etc)

Mouseface · 25/09/2010 18:34

Brian - sounds like a good plan. She sounds a little bit of a spoilt madam ungrateful is she is acting like that after all of her treats.

Maybe a lesson in the value of treats is what she needs. Smile

BrianAndHisBalls · 25/09/2010 18:34

im a soft sap aren't i? Blush

mouse am sending you parcel, could be used underwear, could be something good - the choice is yours whether to open it or not????! Grin

BrianAndHisBalls · 25/09/2010 18:35

mouse - totally agree, i got a bit carried awy with the pfb thing Blush

TotalChaos · 25/09/2010 18:45

I am also v. indulgent (hangs head in shame). DS has only had 1 wii game, 1 DVD (well they were soooo cheap in the HMV sale) and 2 books today. gulp.

agree with SAF - at this age their seeming articulacy runs way ahead of their emotional intelligence. so instead of "i am very disappointed you will not let me have an unfeasably large quanity of yoghurt" you get...

Brian - is it an old rabbit? Wink

Kidding. Look, it's easy to spoil your children. You want them to have what you didn't. Well, I do. And did with DD. I couldn't help it. Especially as it was just us for ages. It was nice to say yes to her.

We're all guilty of a bit of spoiling are we not? Smile

Grin
BrianAndHisBalls · 25/09/2010 19:20

double i actually thought you were going to come out with a serious suggestion then Grin

seriously thank you everyone, we've had a cuddle and a chat and she's gone to bed without her dvd player (she has it on weekends only), yes she has her own dvd player Blush was a present from molly when she was born. So am feling better about whole thing, although she said before bed 'i love you more than daddy mummy' I said 'DD! You can love us all equally theres no limit to how many people you can love and how much' and she said 'can i have the simpsons on now'. So that cleared that up Grin

DD has had her own tv/video/dvd for watching films for ages.

It's so she can snuggle up and watch a film in her own space. Nowt wrong with that Brian. Smile

I'm glad you've had a chat. You do know that they don't come with an instruction manual? You do have to wing it sometimes!

Just be kind to yourself!! You are a fab mum and should take credit for how rounded she is. Smile

BrianAndHisBalls · 25/09/2010 19:40

thank you mouse, its hard sometimes when she mentions her dad yto know the 'right' thing to say.

Double - they had cameras back then??! fuck!! Grin
