These look straighter in the leg when they're on though due to my thunder thighs

Them's smart Alice. My body doesn't really do jeans. I try but it protests. I am a skirt and dress girl at heart, although not always practical.

Alicetheinvisible · 15/09/2010 20:28

These look nice with a short dress and cardy over them, and ballet pumps

TotalChaos · 15/09/2010 21:04

alice - 9 months to "cook" a baby, 9 months for your body to settle down from it all. cut yourself some slack. no harm in avoiding the biccies/chocolate bars, but don't be hard on yourself.

saf - I always find the same after illness etc - that I get extra hungry to make up for the lost food - listen to your body, have in protein-rich snacks and salad, so you can give into the cravings without stuffing yourself full of sugary fatty carby stuff.

Dear Double's DD

This is aunty Mouse. You and Nemo need to go to sleep now.

All the birds are asleep, all of the butterflies are asleep, all of the rabbits are asleep, all the other boys and girls are asleep, even the fairies are going to sleep now. Shhhh.

It's very late. It's time to close your eyes and dream of nice things.

What are you going to dream about tonight?

Shhhhh, it's ok. You're warm and safe and everything's allright.

Close your eyes and drift away, by your side I'll always stay, close your eyes and fall asleep, dream your dreams, they're yours to keep.

Night xx

That's kinda how bedtime goes with Nemo.... on a good night!! Grin

Mouse that is lovely. If DD is whinging about being in bed it is usually "DD, if you want to do xx tomorrow with xx then i suggest you lie down and go to sleep" ending with "DD, Bed, Now" Grin

My cat is fucking mad this evening, must be a full moon or something.

The HV gave me some info on colic, what foods that i eat can trigger it etc. Apparently sugar and starch are the main culprits, and what do i live on? Sugary carbs! So i need help changing my diet to help F's colic (and lets face it, won't hurt with me wanting to get back into my jeans)
Also Camomile tea is meant to help.

So, if i have porridge with raisins and tiny sprinkling of demerara sugar for breakfast, a ham/cheese and salad sandwich for lunch with a handful of crisps and a yogurt, then dinner (usually lasagne/shepherds pie/macaroni cheese/casserole/roast - all stodge, it is winter now after all!) is that ok or is there something glaringly bad there?
