Mittz - as soon as I read Brians post re:working with kids with SN, I also automatically thought art therapy!

Mousey - could you ask one of the nice nurses you see if they know anything about help with care etc?

DS has been fine today Confused.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 15/09/2010 15:05

i was making puns double but my typing let me down, so 'hare' 'fishing for' etc Sad Grin

im using a keyboard thats not on my laptop cos mole threw up on laptop so its a bit tricky

i got ours today saf - the shear a sheep game.

TotalChaos · 15/09/2010 15:26

brian, you are legend! you don't mince your words. sorry you are stressing about ex.

mousey - re:care I just meant getting advice on respite care, or even just babysitters who are trained with feeding tubes etc.

oh the Confused face was that it's sod's law that I keep him off school and he's fine today!

saf - yes I had a look on the letterbox thread (I had wanted a fairy post office for my DS, funnily enough didnt' get chosen....)

Mouseface · 15/09/2010 15:34

TC - ah, I see re the face. Yes, sod's law!!

They use SureStart here for care and there are no trained staff to care for DS. I have already asked Nemo's nurse last week. Other than that, he'd go somewhere over night but his needs aren't great enough.

AKA - we wouldn't qualify for 24 hour care because he's 'not disabled enough'. So, it's just me and MrM. PIL don't like to pick him up, or play with him (fairly frightened by his tube etc) and we hardly see them. My folks come every month or 6 weeks.

We have no friends in the area. So I'm kinda on my own there too. Plus, there is only 1 playgroup nearby and it's full at the mo.

It's a struggle to plan things due to his feeding needs and the reflux. But, one day, we'll get there!! Smile

God, that was all doom and gloom. Sorry.
