Hey Saf, feel like we keep missing each other recently.

I am good, still need to get my head around how I can get a career and exhausted from Cardiff and missing you, but good.

Did I tell you another friend from my degree is now directing EastEnders? well, not now, but from next month.

No, not lying - or fat Grin Just all child free.

It's all good. I have a plan. I will,

  1. win the Lottery
  2. Tell DH to give up his job so that I can do my degree again.
  3. Actually take advantage of the opportunities given during my degree.
  4. Mop up all the jobs my former course mates have to leave when they have children.

I don't see a single flaw in my plan. Wink

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 29/08/2010 00:38

OK, just checked the results, I have won a tenner! Grin

Just need to win another half a million or so and I'm good to go.

Morning Smile

I watched Donny Darko last night. Excellent Music but a bit meh about the film.

I think I am going to a 'party' in the park this afternoon to celebrate the Divas success. Smile

I am going to fold laundry and then do my paperwork. Even more rock and roll than you Waste.

TotalChaos · 29/08/2010 08:21

waste - you are better up on your feminismism than me - films and popular culture do tend to reflect a certain misogynist world view.....

saf - to start with, you need some belief that you can shift the weigh, or you are never going to be motivated. now you aren't that overweight - sure above your ideal weight - but in medical terms OK - so maybe exercise and fruit and veg may be they way to go rather than calorie counting or dukanning etc.

bitter - ah yes, the curse of the successful friends with glamourous and/or lucrative careers. sigh. in this economy I think more a case of regrouping and looking at retraining rather than aiming for big break right now. do you have any idea what you want to do?

Mittz - hope it's not too rainy for your party! you sound in much better spirits lately Mittz, nice to see you happier Smile

BrianAndHisBalls · 29/08/2010 09:06

hi all

saf - if you want total depression try reading the rape in marriage thread thats a spin off from the original thread. I read it last night I was Shock some posters I will steer very clear off from now on, it was an absolute disgrace.

Bitter - Eastenders is shit Grin

Seem to have had some sort of tentative breakthrough with mole. Shes now a pain in the arse from 8 - 11ish and screams lots but then goes to bed and today slept through till 7am yesterday 4.30 am so maybe turning a corner?

DD got her hair cut yesterday into a little bob she looks so cute. I'll put a pic up later Smile

BrianAndHisBalls · 29/08/2010 09:07

Morning.

DS is up to his old tricks again. DH got a tiramisu as part of a meal deal and he's had it.

Despite us telling him yesterday we would all share it today after dinner.

Double, as long as you know your place, after all you are bringing your DC up in a broken home. Wink

Twunts.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 29/08/2010 10:58

I never got Donny Darko, despite it being raved about. DH used to call me 'Danny Dorko'. Grin
