well she went to bed at 7.30 not a murmur... then ten mins ago she started crying and threw up everywhere. nice. i despair.

saf - hope you're ok. its a weird thing really, you see my parents do show remorse over my childhood, but then they carry on acting that way anyway. I actually think its habit now, I dont think they could change if they tried.

Thing is Im starting to hear them in the way I talk to DP sometimes, really harsh and sarcastic and belittling, I need to stop it right now but its a hard habit to break Sad

There are so many 'red' areas with my parents, homosexuality, race, single mothers (that'll be me then), feminism, religion, immigration, just think The Daily Mail and you'll be about right.

If I try to talk to them about anything then i get into a total state, go red, stammer, start crying, Im a mess, they make me feel like Im about 12. At least these days I have my own house and life, when I think back to being 12 and not being able to get away... (from the emotional stuff, never physical).

Fluffs - sorry to ignore the rest, did she puke with reflux?

Has it gone back to being bad, even with these new meds?

OP posts:
FluffyCut · 26/08/2010 20:55

mouse - dont know, she doesnt seem upset, she used to get really upset when eating with the reflux. now about once or twice a week she just turns round once shes lay down for sleep, starts screaming then voms everywhere. As soon as shes done that she seems fine. shes now wide awake on the mat and (d)p is getting his stuff ready for football. its only once a week he goes out but i must admit i wish he'd think, hmm you've only seen these 4 walls for the last 15 years, you're on your own all day every day with the evil children, i'll stay in and keep you company, but no chance. he'd stop if i asked him to but i dont want to have to ask him too.

sorry rambling through lack of sleep Grin

I wish there was a magic wand. If you put her to bed, will she scream the gaff down?

I think this genius sums it up nicely:-

Philip Larkin - This Be The Verse

They fuck you up, your mum and dad.
They may not mean to, but they do.
They fill you with the faults they had
And add some extra, just for you.

But they were fucked up in their turn
By fools in old-style hats and coats,
Who half the time were soppy-stern
And half at one another's throats.

Man hands on misery to man.
It deepens like a coastal shelf.
Get out as early as you can,
And don't have any kids yourself.

TotalChaos · 26/08/2010 21:58

fluffy - does she have a bottle just before she goes down? just wondering if more digestion time before lying down might help.
