Alicetheinvisible · 08/08/2010 19:49

Is Shrek 4 rubbish then?

I have just cooked an amazing roast (beef, yorkshires, roasties, carrots, green beans and real gravy) and made a treacle sponge for pudding. I am FAB! (and modest too Wink)

Feel a bit happier now, just freaking a bit as DD has been difficult for a few days (nightmares last week and not really caught up on lost sleep) and the dawning realisation that i am actually having a baby. Went into labour on DD's due date so very real possibilty of it happening this time too. DD is now in bed and full of stodge so should sleep well Grin

Mouseface · 08/08/2010 19:50

SSSSSSSSSSSSSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!

Hello gorgeous!!

Hope you are ok.

I'm saying night as I've beds to make, fancy soft drinks to drink, DS to feed, DD to help, bathroom to clean and dishes to wash!!

Phew!!

Bitter - roast beef was utterly horrid Envy = puke! [revenge and lying through her teeth emoticon]

Day 7 and no booze!! Yippeeeeeee! I love this clear view on life. Sorry to bang on about it. Blush

So tired though! Is alcohol a stimulant? I was always wired before....now I could sleep for England!

Night lovelies, be back briefly tomorrow as PIL are here.

Hope you are all ok.

xx

CrispyTheCrisp · 08/08/2010 19:50

Mouse, off for 8 days to Ireland Smile. Has taken all day to prepare though Hmm

Envy of Bitters impending I-phone. I only pay £10 a month for 400 free minutes, unlimited land lines and unlimited texts so cannot justify a change

We have read bedtime stories to the DD's from about a year. They love them and usually have 2 or 3 a night

Alice - hope your day has quietened down and you can relax a bit now

Arf at pidgeon. Always get it wrong Hmm

mittz · 08/08/2010 20:03

Never apologise for being proud of what you have achieved Mouse Smile x

Shrek was OK ish, wearing a bit thin IMO.

Reading is intermittent in this house. As much as possible with DD but by the time DS is in bed I am truly shattered so he misses out. I am going to pick a book to read to both of them two or three times a week but DS gave most of ours away without asking.. he kindly donated them to a a school fete! Shock

We mostly have picture stories with DD's age reading in them. Hundreds of them, but not all that engaging to read as an ongoing story. I must re invest in them.

I am enjoying all the snogging and being bossed by ID.. that sort of dominance I can handle Wink

I am ON with a vengeance, bloody cycle and the pain Envy

Mouseface · 08/08/2010 20:09

Crispy - have a wonderful time!! 4 days in Dorset will take a good week in this house to prepare!! I started today!!! Grin

Night all. xx

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 08/08/2010 20:10

Evening all.

Just popping in, off to watch the wire in a bit.

Chicken went further than I thought - still Envy @ roast beef though.

I haven't said I am getting an iphone, it's just that they have a staff only deal atm where you pay £175 for the phone, then it's £15 a month for a 12 month contract. We get paid every 4 weeks rather than every month which means we both get 13 paydays a year, so tecnically as I get paid twice next month I can afford it.

We'll see.

Alice, very impressed at you cooking up a storm.

Crispy have a lovely trip

Mouse - didn't do bedtime stories when DS was little as he was a great sleeper pre-2.5, so he just conked out between 7 and 9 pm. Then the SN /language delay years hit (think he was traumatised by starting nursery, poor lamb), and he was regularly up till 2 am. Do what you and DS enjoy, as long as he gets sung/talked to, the rest will follow as he gets older.

CrispyTheCrisp · 08/08/2010 20:47

Kerry, Beara and Kilkenny Double Smile. Anywhere near you?

Night Mouse

Would a nice soak in the bath help Mittz?

DH found a local festival going on from 10-12 (i think) which looked good. Will add Dingle to the list

Did you like the music? Grin. We told DD1 (3 3/4) that they had a campers lounge and everyone came together to play music and sing, and she said, why do they do that? Grin

CrispyTheCrisp · 08/08/2010 21:09

Sorry, missed you there TC. Not sure if we will be passing by Cork, but added to the list. Keep em coming.....

Hello lovelies - TC, nice to see you, feel I've been missing you lately, we must post at different times.

Bloody Hell, it's quiet tonight.

One episode left of the first season of the wire - it's bloody brilliant. Massive thanks to Hells if she ever wanders over this way.

DH is walking Poochie the shadow dog so thought I'd pop on to say goodnight - working tomorrow so won't be round much.

Night Lovelies x
