Hello all

At work, only 2 more Saturdays after this one!

Bit hectic though, just had some old bird with a v bad perm coming and going all mad as her chain has fallen through poor woman I know but it is hardly my fault.
No excuse for rudeness
Or the perm

I'm thinking of getting mine all chopped off.

I quite fancy a bob with a fringe. DH hates my hair short though, so I'm in two minds.

Oh Lizzy, some people just dump their feelings anywhere..

I am guilty of bad perm syndrome in my teens... Blush

ID, have as much sympathy as you need.

Lizzylou · 07/08/2010 12:39

I had a perm in my teens, I have naturally wavy/curly hair anyway.
I looked like bungle, not too dissimilar to the Old woman who ranted to be honest Grin
Took ages for it to grow out, was sooo bad my Mom cried.
I just wanted to be like my mates Hmm

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 07/08/2010 12:45

Saf, do you reckon a bob will suit me? Or will I end up looking like a cow staring up from under a hedge?

OP posts:
BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 07/08/2010 12:46

I'm sure it's not that bad double! Grin

OP posts:
Lizzylou · 07/08/2010 12:49

I like your hair and "look" Double.
If I had short hair I'd just look like a huge football face with my double chin flapping around.
My face is like a ball of dough.

You do suit it short.

Alicetheinvisible · 07/08/2010 12:52

I have lots of mad hair - think Hermione Granger, but had it cut a bit too short at the beginning of pg and hasn't really grown.

Feckin kids! DD decided she doesn't want to stay in bed, cue her wailing down the stairs and me yelling back at her. I am stressed, she is tired and miserable and DH has had a shite morning at work so will be home in a foul mood shortly.

Have started a thread in childbirth about leaving DD while having the baby, any input gratefully received.

mittz · 07/08/2010 13:14

I had very long hair, but it was all shaved off after an accident, I started to grow it back without thinking, but because it was expected that I would grow back my 'lovely hair' (that a lot of people said was my best feature). I had a disastrous relationship with someone who wanted me to grow it back, I didn't really like him but my Dad had a real go at me for being frigid. When we finished, I went shorter and shorter until I spent years being shaven headed.
I grew it back a little because it was one of the things my DS was being tormented about but I am Samson in reverse.. I feel better the shorter my hair is.

Will take a look Alice Smile xx

Thank you ID, very much, coming from someone who I admire, that means a lot Smile xx

And now to the easel!!

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 07/08/2010 13:56

DS has just fed the dog popping candy.

Mouseface · 07/08/2010 14:00

Afternoon, tis me, Mouseface.

Wasting - HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOVELY LADY. xx

Crispy - Thank you for the support (and all). DS is the same, no news and no appts through. Fed up now! Lovely to see you here, how's the new biz/plans going? I do shred but I don't jump!! Grin

Double - sorry you feel so poorly and swollen today. Sending you cuddles and snickers. xx

Mittz - feck!! K&M - eew!! Reminds me of being 7 with an upset tummy. Also, I dream a lot (like 4 times a week) about my real dad and his wife and their house. I lived there, without them, for 2 years and I always dream that I need to do some DIY, washing up, or fix something. They are sometimes there, sometimes not but DH and DS are often there too. Or it's me and DD. Odd!! Confused

Lizzy - only 2 saturdays to go?

SAF - I'm off for a summer crop (not crap, Double! Grin) in a mo and have bought a gorgeous warm choc brown, lighter than normal to dye it later!! Maybe a colour or some layers for you? You have such a pretty face! Layers would look lovely.

Alice - rest when you've done the horses please. I got that sudden urge to evacuate my insides when in labour with DS!! Take it easy. xx

Well, how I got through last night, I don't know. I did but it was fecking hard!!! I SO wanted a drink! The carving hit me so fast! I was unreal!!

And the pub in the village had an 18th so the noise was awful! I think the police were called in the end to shut them all up!!!!

Been shopping with DD and got some new PJs, shoes - red ballet pumps - and a gorgeous cardi, all from Peacocks in the sale! Cheap as chips but who gives a feck!!!

Shite weather again! DD has her best friend over tonight so they are having a BGT party!!

Happy days!!!!

mittz · 07/08/2010 14:50

I have come on. Confused... probably explains being a carb consuming junky but my body has developed a life of it's own.

Heyy MouseyMouse! Smile

Sorry you had a rough night but it is awesome that you managed. Be proud of yourself.
I am going for a walk, I got entangled on a thread that had left me in need of a brain dusting, so I am going to romp Smile

Catch y'all later xx

CrispyTheCrisp · 07/08/2010 14:56

Sorry Wasting, i missed wishing you a happy birthday Blush

I am in awe of anyone who can do really short hair. I think i hide behind mine sometimes. Mittz yours looks fab short as does Mousey's. Not sure i have seen yours Double, and I have been defriended on FB Sad. Can't advise on a BitterBob either as i have no idea what you look like!

Mouse - work going really, really well thanks for asking Smile. I am working today (yes, now, honestly Grin) as we are still hoping to go to Ireland on Tuesday. Have put in LOADS of hours as it is the first one and been commuting to London a couple of times, hence severe curtailment of MN time Sad

Enjoy your parties this evening Mouse and Double. I am going for a non working evening with a chinese and DVD. Well, i can live in hope anyways..........

Lizzy, you crack me up Grin. I had a perm too (think blond straw). Worst bit was they permed my fringe so it just stuck out like a perpendicular corkscrew from my head Hmm

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 07/08/2010 14:56

Hey Mittz, enjoy your run.

Mouse, you are doing sooooo well. Don't focus on the fact that you had a bad craving, focus on the fact you were stronger!

Shopping sounds fun. Smile I love getting cheapy bits, makes me feel less guilty when I shrink them in the wash! Grin

Right, paperwork.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 07/08/2010 14:58

Oooh, crispy do you think if I pull it off people will be going in to salons and asking for a BitterBob? Grin

Hope work goes well for you.

You've just scared me now. Bad period pain like contractions - does that mean that giving birth is like period pain from hell? That is scary.
