Um, (cough) what can anyone tell me about iPhones? Does anyone have one & NOT like it?

OP posts:
ReneRusso · 10/09/2009 17:21

I absolutely love my iPhone. Happy to answer any questions.

diedandgonetodevon · 10/09/2009 17:23

Love mine. Can't fault it really.

twirlymum · 10/09/2009 17:23

I have to have mine prised out of my hand to charge it up
Love it

gizmo · 10/09/2009 17:23

Another iPhone-a-holic here. And I'm not generally prone to liking gadgets.

I've had mine since April and the only real whinge point is that it is a bit greedy on the power.

Pielight · 10/09/2009 17:25

I have never met a person prepared to diss their i-phone. My dh loves his a disproportionate amount IMO, is, infact, in thrall to his i phone.

I am so hacked off with his constantly looking at the bloody thing, that I will refuse to get one and instead make snitty remarks about how much it costs.

EyeballsintheSky · 10/09/2009 17:25

Love it, have an extra long cable so I can charge it and lie in bed mnetting making calls while it charges

Pielight · 10/09/2009 17:26

See! See how obsessed they all are.

I feel for their partners, I really do.

MmeLindt · 10/09/2009 17:27

I can show you mine tomorrow, Cariboo.

Saying that, I am in town so early because I have to go and get it exhanged again as there seems to be a fault in it. So it wont be doing anything fancy.

I love it.

And you can MN from every public park in Geneva as they have free WiFi

bratnav · 10/09/2009 17:28

Ha, I felt the same way about DHs unhealthy obsession with his, he was one of the saddos up at 5am to queue for his when the 3G came out. He upgraded to the 3GS a couple of months back and gave me the old one, I am now as devoted to it as he was

McDreamy · 10/09/2009 17:30

Loving mine!

cariboo · 10/09/2009 17:32

well, I ordered one without really checking what I was doing (there is a 6 week delay, omg!) & am wondering if I should have opted for 32mb or whatever they are instead of 16. How much memory does your "average" mum need?

OP posts:
Pielight · 10/09/2009 17:32

Nooooo bratnav, nooo don't tell me that.

dh is suggesting I might like one for my birthday. I am resisting.

You bratnav have gone to the other side. Deserter.

EyeballsintheSky · 10/09/2009 17:34

I'm a complete gadget freak and have loads of video on mine which eats up space and I have the 16GB. You'd need a lot on it to fill up 16GB.

16MB on the other hand...

cariboo · 10/09/2009 17:35

oh nooooooo! did I order the 3GS? are they like, standard now? What an idiot.

OP posts:
cariboo · 10/09/2009 17:36

eyeball, stop taking the piss! :-)

OP posts:
EyeballsintheSky · 10/09/2009 17:37

3GS is the current model yes. Why oh no? That's good isn't it?

EyeballsintheSky · 10/09/2009 17:37

Sorry You'll love it, really

bratnav · 10/09/2009 17:53

Hee hee Pielight, you aren't going to start shouting scab at me are you?

chimchar · 10/09/2009 17:54

my dh has one...i thought it was crap and it was going to be cited as the reason for our marriage failing, he spends that much bloody time on it!

then i had a play with it....i want one.

Pielight · 10/09/2009 17:57

Hmm at you wanting one now too

take up knitting women, read a book, go out, get a boyfriend, RESIST.

I played with dh's - just to get him to talk to me really - it was okay I don't quite see why it has the hold over him it does. I mean if I wanted to spend my time racing in a neolithic cart at some cave age races, well, then I would. Right?

As for the thing when we're out and he goes 'I'll just check on the i-phone, oh, we turn left, then right, and then we'll find a highly recommended Italian restaurant'

Where's the sense of adventure gone? Huh?

Pielight · 10/09/2009 18:00

Oh bratnav, I shan't call you anything except MARVELLOUS.

you've had a baby boy! I've just seen the thread. So many congratulations. You must take photos of him on your i-phone and find him soothing music to play, and use the app to find him all the things he wants and needs! Just for you, you've got a free i-phone pass.

LadyMuck · 10/09/2009 18:10

I don't know of anyone with one who doesn't like it. I think that the battery life is pants and the camera would be better, but I'm only ever going to swap it for the next iphone.

RubberDuck · 10/09/2009 18:16

You'd have to prise my iphone out of my cold dead hands...

cariboo · 10/09/2009 18:17

enough of this banter!! do I need 32 thingies or not??

OP posts:
bratnav · 10/09/2009 18:17

PMSL Pielight, photos on profile (taken with iPhone of course)
