hi all, i suppose I'm just after some positive vibes. Feeling very very low tonight, wondering how I'll cope and more to the point how my beautiful precious funny gorgeous boy will cope.

GEMMA what a truely inspiring thread! my husband and i are just starting to apply for the army. i would liuke to do dental nursing and my husband wants to keep to what we know and be a air corp or such like.

the thought if all the training is a bit daunting as there is so much and i have two dd one is 3 and the other 1.

you have really inspired me!

for me and my husband this is a fresh start to life after a bvery hard and unstable few years.

my dh has been offered redundancy so think we will bit bullet and take it!

gemmummy · 19/11/2008 20:25

hello all. Well, this is me home and finally finding my feet (I think!). We're a bit up in the air at the minute because we've decided to move our quarter from dh's base to mine. he's been given a job which means he's away at least 6 months a year, so matthew has got a place at nursery at my base and starts in jan, so we're doing a short notice house move (2 weeks time!) Matthew is delicious, he's a lovely cheeky terrible little toddler. I melted when I saw him at bzz, he just looked for a minute then big smiles and arms out for a cuddle, it was wonderful! hope you're all well xxx

SammyC · 19/11/2008 20:28

Sounds like a great reaction from your little man! Good luck with the move

wonderstuff · 19/11/2008 20:29

I've been lurking on this thread, and am now in tears hearing about your reunion with your family. All the best, hope its a long time before you have to go again xx

callmeovercautious · 19/11/2008 20:38

gemmummy (and a bit of a blubb)

I am so glad you are home with your loved ones again. Matthew is a lucky little boy to have such a brave Mummy.

I hope the move goes smoothly.

I followed your thread with interest but apart from having a Dad who was always away as a child (army) I didn't have anything to add except soppy comments so I kept quiet!

Well done for doing the tour and Thank You for what you do
