You go to a garden party and they have the best canapes EVER! What is it they served you? Tell me your favourites

I'm just looking for inspiration really and would love to hear what other people's favourite canapes/nibbles are.

smoked salmon and creme fraiche tartlets

sausages in mustard and honey on a stick.
Pesto and goats cheese tarts.
Small piece of focaccia with roasted pepper and either pesto/houmous.
prawn and avocado blini

Tiny roast new potatoes stuffed with sour cream and caviar (or chopped chives).
Smoked chicken and mango salsa on little gem leaves.
Quails' eggs with zatar.
Tiny puff pastry tarts with buffalo mozzarella or goat's cheese, with roast tomatoes and fresh pesto. Rare roast beef is also wonderful with pesto but would need brown bread.
Mini sweetcorn pancakes with guacamole and crumbled fried chorizo.
Mini warm ham and brie croissants.

I also love a large bowl of baba ganoush, garnished with coriander and served with warm flatbreads.

But for a garden party it would be hard to beat an enormous platter of cucumber sandwiches, on a choice of white or brown crustless bread, with salted butter.

cocktail sausages plain, simple and cold - a party is not a party without them - am i showing my roots?!

a slice of toasted french bread with roast tomato paste, mediterranean herbs, topped with asparagus tip and melted cheese.

soooo mumsnet that no-one has mentioned SAUSAGE ROLLS!!!

but nah - i actually prefer chicken satay

Melon balls that have been infused with vodka

warm blinis
sausages

mini Yorkshire puddings with roast beef in.

little rolls of newspaper with two chips and a fish goujon in

We had those at our wedding and they went down a storm.

THough you cannot beat cheese and pineapple on a cocktail stick.

Posh crisps and dips

asparagus wrapped in parma ham and then baked

goats cheese and chutney on a mini scone

those 'crystal' sushi rolls (rice paper, I think?)

mini mackerel cakes

tiny fondant fancies

tiny oven chips with a bite taken out nad a smear of ketchup

fruit skewers with chocolate dipping sauce - divine

had that at our wedding 8 years ago and am still really pissed off I only got to have one of them because of the bloody photos
