I'm just looking for inspiration really and would love to hear what other people's favourite canapes/nibbles are.

Pineapple and cheese on cocktail sticks.

I am just making some mini yorkshires at the moment (in my mini muffin pan from Pampered Chef natch ). They are good if you cook them with a mini sausage and onion marmalade in them.

Any type of normal food made miniature is good.

overmydeadbody · 15/05/2010 17:29

nikki can I have some when they're done? Sound lush

And to follow:

a Walls Vienetta, melted down and then refrozen into individual ice cubes.

Mini-portions of tapioca, served on a teeny blackboard

Garden party? Canape? What is a canape?

Says she who is soon to attend a wedding in a posh London hotel and I assume will make a complete fool of herself.

CantSupinate · 15/05/2010 18:30

I'll probably end up eating a decorated serviette thinking that it's a trendy new diet food.

onebatmother · 15/05/2010 18:43

just eat anything that's smaller than usual CS, you will be fine. disclaimer: advice does not hold if you are snow white.

Spinach kisses'. They were a sort of bite- sized spinach, ricotta and parmesan little fritter/dumpling thing. Gorgeous, they were, and I've been googling spinach kisses ever since, but no luck so far.

onebatmother · 17/05/2010 00:52

Spinach kisses?
That is a ill-judged name for a canayp, and no mistake.

TiggyR · 19/05/2010 11:00

Lol! I love spinach - I'm constantly picking it out of my teeth though. Just eaten some now for breakfast as a matter of fact. Freshly picked from my vegetable garden. Smug, me? {grin]

Just thought of another one. These little baby pumpkins about the size of cherry tomatoes, stuffed with ricotta and doused in olive oil, God, they are to die for. There'a place called the Food Company near me that sells them on the olive and antipasi counter and when I buy a little pot they never actually make it home.I have to scoff them in the car. I can't help it.
