About half of the garden.

Open fields. There used to be horses right up to our garden but they closed the livery down the lane so the fields lie empty. Much nicer with the horses!

Hatty65 · 05/04/2026 20:49

The farmland at the back of us.

TommorrowsToday · 05/04/2026 21:15

Our garden (around 30m), and then our maple tree and smoke bush, and our 6ft fence. Behind the fence I can see the the back of a small terrace of 4 houses.

"Outside my window is a tree.............."

marylou25 · 05/04/2026 21:20

My garden, I have a floor length tall window looking out on patio and garden

swapsicles · 05/04/2026 21:21

Mainly just the flats across the way turn left and lean and I can see another road, an industrial estate and a housing estate, shame as when I moved here it was a field with cows. Still lots of greenery though.

herbalteabag · 05/04/2026 21:24

My garden. An oak tree. Beyond it, a lot of space - can only see buildings in the distance from upstairs.

HearMeSnore · 05/04/2026 21:25

The bottom half of our street. Then beyond that, fields and trees. Beyond that, on a clear day I can see hills in the distance.

sanityisamyth · 05/04/2026 21:35

I don’t have a kitchen window.

Berlinlover · 05/04/2026 21:38

My neighbour’s seven foot wall is right outside the window.

Owninterpreter · 05/04/2026 21:50

A fence

CrowsInMyGarden · 05/04/2026 21:52

crows in my garden strangely enough

Empress13 · 05/04/2026 21:57

Why is this in food/recipes?

ReignOfError · 05/04/2026 22:03

My garden, the roof of a neighbour’s too tall ugly summerhouse, a field, currently with pregnant sheep in, and a belt of trees on the far side of that.

GardeningMummy · 05/04/2026 22:03

Our back garden, greenhouse, rose arch and flower border 😊 Usually including our little black Schnauzer puppy playing on the grass 🐾

I don’t have a kitchen window.

Huh? How can you not have a kitchen window? I’ve never come across that and I’ve lived in (& viewed) a LOT of houses & flats over the last 26 years.

Troublein · 05/04/2026 22:08

A couple of small moored yachts.

I dont have a kitchen window either. Its a kitchen/diner and there is a window at the dinning end, so technically we look out over the side alley, but the actual kitchen end of the room is all internal walls so no windows. It is a bit dark, and I do wish I had a window behind my kitchen sink, but with the house layout it just won't happen

shellyleppard · 05/04/2026 22:09

The shed door.... council house so we have a covered entry with two sheds at the back

Avenueofhope · 05/04/2026 22:11

The street. My kitchen is at the front.

The flat I’m living in used to be a house which has been badly chopped in half horizontally. The kitchen is along the back wall of where the sitting room is. The only window in the whole room and some pointless French windows (we’re the upper flat so why we have doors that don’t go anywhere seems mad) which is on the opposite side to the kitchen. It’s very dark. The only light on the kitchen side is a light tube skylight from the roof. Great when it’s cloudy or raining …

No kitchen window here either - flat with the kitchen in the middle (same with the bathroom).

Hedjwitch · 06/04/2026 09:07

Back garden from one window, the street and houses from the other one.

Spaghettea · 06/04/2026 09:08

A dirty fence and brick wall.
Thanks crappy (ex) council estate. I hate it.

IceStationZebra · 06/04/2026 09:10

The back garden, the houses opposite, and a couple of other streets as there is a large gap between the houses opposite (end of cul de sac). It’s nice enough, but I do get envious of my very rural friends sometimes who can see fields or the sea.
