Foods you normally like, but not in other dishes

For me it has to be raisins or sultanas in savoury dishes or any containing a sauce.

Raisins in flapjack - Yes, please.
Raisins in apple crumble or fruit stew - No thanks
Raisins in curry or morrocan stew - Absolutely not.

Another one is banana milkshake or banana custard.
Banana with rice cakes or on its own before a run - Yes.
Banana in banana cake - definitely Yes.
For some.reason, I just don't like it when it's whizzed with vanilla ice cream and why ruin a steaming pot of luscious custard with banana?

I love banana custard 🙂 but I can't eat raw banana 🍌 the texture is weird

fennel - absolutely hate it as vegetable, makes me gag. love fennel seed tea as herbal infusion

mint - love mint tea/infusion. love fresh mint with a spicy curry. don't like it baked/cooked.

I love banana in a banoffee pie or banana bread. I don’t like to just eat a banana on its own though.

stilton in a broccoli and Stilton soup is lovely but I can’t stand the stuff otherwise.

love rice done all sorts of ways as a savoury dish but hate a sweet rice pudding for dessert.

I find broccoli ruins a quiche but I prefer a cheese and onion one anyway!

Almonds - love eating a whole Almond but anything else, e g flaked, marzipan, even the smell of shampoo etc makes me retch.

Cherries - love fresh cherries, hate any cherry flavoured things as it all tasted of almond to me.

As you can imagine, a Cherry Bakewell is absolute food hell for me.

Love almondy things and cherries except glace ones that can go to hell!

Same with the boozy chocolates. Love all kinds of alcohol but having it inside a chocolate is absolutely vile!

I don't particularly like chocolate ice cream except if it has cherries in it. I also do not like chocolate cake but I do like chocolate bars! Love bananas and custard - brings out the banana flavour more!
