Before I have a proper look... are you back?

Kathyis6incheshigh · 07/04/2008 15:22

Back from where? I was on holiday for a bit but I came back last week.

OP posts:
fryalot · 07/04/2008 15:23

have had a look.

Tis good. Made me wish I'd bought the purple sprouting broccoli that we saw on Saturday instead of just looking at it and going "ooh, that looks nice"

If I have a criticism, the pic of the tongue looks a bit yucky (but that might be the look you're going for, considering what you said about it)

Have saved it to my fave blogs anyway

fryalot · 07/04/2008 15:23

back in Yorkshire? I thought you moved?

Kathyis6incheshigh · 07/04/2008 15:24

Thank you

I could have dressed up the tongue to make it look prettier. It is a bit of a crap photo anyway because I have just got a new phone that takes photos and I don't really know how to work it yet.

I've left a comment for you

But only because you live in my home town

I'll add a link to my blog too.

Kathyis6incheshigh · 07/04/2008 15:26

Ooh, ooh, a comment already! Good old Mumsnet!

Nbg · 07/04/2008 15:34

I would recommend you get sitemeter on your blog.

Its great because you can see where all your visits come from.

Kathyis6incheshigh · 07/04/2008 16:45

Squonk - we didn't move permanently, we were in Cambridge just for the autumn due to dh's job (and because we were having a loft conversion done at the same time).
It was fun being somewhere else but I would not leave Yorkshire if I could help it - I love it

Nbg - that's a good idea.
I am getting my head round the whole blog thing very gradually as I don't normally have much time to spend on it....

Thank you for comment . What is your blog?

OP posts:
Kathyis6incheshigh · 07/04/2008 16:52

Nbg - if you don't mind me asking, do you use the sitemeter from sitemeter.com or are there others to choose from?

Great blog, Kathyis...

Have left a comment, but had to do it anonymously as I couldn't work out how to do it otherwise [technophobe emoticon]. But anyway, it's me .

Anyway, it's just grand inside the Rhubarb Triangle I'll have you know! You'll have to come and visit our farm shop one day...

Nbg · 07/04/2008 17:15

Yes Kathy its sitemeter.

Kathyis6incheshigh · 07/04/2008 17:18

Thank you Ellbell!
Next year I want to go on one of those candlelit tours of the rhubarb sheds.

I have commented on your comment.

Nbg - sorry, have just realised I could click on your name and get a link to your blog(s). (Duh...) Your craft photos are great!

I did: it's great. Made me wish I didn't live in such a food desert...

Now go and read mine. Heh heh heh. though for proper world domination, I can see I'm gonna have to abandon the MN version and step out into the big world, sitemeters and all....

Fullmoonfiend · 07/04/2008 17:21

great blkog kathy. Now, tell me what I can cook with lots of delicious organic yorkshire mushrooms...

Kathyis6incheshigh · 07/04/2008 17:27

Mmmm, you could make delicious organic mushroom risotto or delicious organic mushroom bruschetta and then crumble Wensleydale over the top.

Monkeybird - yours is very funny!

made me smile & hungry I've posted a comment.

Kathyis6incheshigh · 07/04/2008 17:31

Thank you

My poor dh is so bored with me going on about food - this is a much better outlet.

OP posts:
Nbg · 07/04/2008 17:42

awww thank you

I forgot to add that I am really jealous about you going to Meltons.
I want to go there.

Is the Blue Bicycle still there?

Kathyis6incheshigh · 07/04/2008 17:44

It was only Meltons Too, not proper expensive Meltons. Wouldn't mind going there though perhaps not with children

Blue Bicycle is indeed still there!

I never got to go to BB either.

What was I playing at when I lived there!
Must make a date to go.

fryalot · 07/04/2008 19:15

Kathy - you and I are going to have an evening meet up where we drink beer!

Do you ever go to the York Brewery? We used to be members but since the littlies came along and we get to go out together once in four years we let our membership lapse.

I didn't know you were a real ale drinker.

(and do you know how far away Wold Top is from my house?)

DJCod · 07/04/2008 19:18

its really very intersting kathy

Kathyis6incheshigh · 07/04/2008 20:42

Thank you Cod

Nbg - Mumsnet Yorkshire meet-up in a restaurant in York, perhaps?

Squonk - I don't know very much about beer. I am not a proper beer drinker or I would have a better vocabulary for writing about it instead of just saying vague stuff like 'this tastes interesting'. That Wold Top stuff was very nice though. Definitely way better than drinking boring stuff from supermarkets and I am up for learning more. How near do you live to the brewery?

We will definitely have to arrange an evening beer-drinking meet-up.

Kathyis6incheshigh · 07/04/2008 21:05

Squonk - dh wants to know, is Cropton beer really good? And is York Brewery worth trying too?
Thank you
