Other than jacket potato, is there a use for coleslaw?

I always seem to have left over coleslaw go bad after buying it to top jacket potatoes with.

What do you use coleslaw for?

Ham and coleslaw sandwiches

Coleslaw & pulled pork
Coleslaw & corned beef sandwiches
Southern fried chicken, corn on the cob, coleslaw & dirty rice
Chilli & coleslaw
BBQ ribs, wedges & coleslaw

Quiche, chips and salad 😋

It goes well with chicken in breadcrumbs

Anything you'd have with salad really!

I like it on a baguette with avocado and tomato.

Pulled pork and coleslaw is yum

I love coleslaw and have it on so many things, but make it up in small batches. There's always a red cabbage and some carrots in the fridge ready. Current favourite is on chicken shawarma. Or pulled pork.

It’s my low carb go to instead of having fries with homemade burger.

I make it myself onions, grated carrot, finely chopped cabbage, mustard and a smidge of mayo. Goes a long way and it’s all the cheap veg too!

As a side with lasagne. Sandwich with either turkey or ham coleslaw and jalapeño

I often make it to go with any cold meat, or e.g. pork chops, or macaroni pie, or barbecue type meats in summer.

I make my own - never like the bought stuff, too often swimming in too much (often vinegary) mayonnaise.
Shredded white cabbage, chopped carrot, onion, celery and apple. Only just enough mayonnaise to bind it.
There’s rarely any left.

I had coleslaw last night with oven chips & a vegetable burger. The previous night, I had it with pizza.

You can have it with anything eg:
Salad
Cheese & coleslaw sandwich
Ham & coleslaw sandwich
Chicken/beef burgers

My mum served it as a side to lasagna, which I find odd!

I love to dip chips into coleslaw

My old collage used to have really unusual sandwhich flavours. My fav was turkey slices, cream cheese and coleslaw in a bagle. Lush!

Glad to see this is the first response. Absolute top tier sandwich (closely followed by cheese and cucumber).

Sandwiches and salads mostly, or any other meal that it would complement - I make doner kebabs sometimes and we always have it with that.

I generally make some to go with pulled pork or fried chicken or burgers or with a jacket potato or just as a seasonal salad in the winter months, and then I eat the leftovers with the leftover pulled pork, or in a cheese sandwich or with cold chicken, or as a side dish with whatever I'm having for lunch.

Roast chicken with coleslaw and chips is delicious. Possibly with a few fries in the side or still warm in a wrap or with crusty white bread 😋

Use as a crunchier alternative to mayonnaise !

Never used it on a jacket potato! I mostly associate it with burgers. But just use it in place of a salad with any dish. I often have it with pizza.

I don't get the chance to use left over coleslaw. An open pot is an empty pot in this house, DH inhales it as he walks past.

Here's what you do :

Get a scotch egg, cut in half. Eat the egg bit.

Fill the middle of scotch egg with coleslaw, pile really high.

Eat.

Thank me later.

On a barm with bbq pulled pork, I also love it with cheese on a sandwich.
