Boring old cottage pie sorry I can't be more exciting for you

Comedycook · 02/02/2023 12:11

Fry it until well browned with spring onions, chilli, garlic, ginger, dark soy sauce and a little sugar...toss with thin egg noodles and a little sesame oil. It's delicious

Dd1 loves home made burgers. Just mix with chopped onion and parsley, shape and put in the oven for twenty minutes while prepping vegetables, salads, guerkins and burger bun.

AlphaAlpha · 02/02/2023 12:15

Tacos or meatloaf.

JazzTheDog · 02/02/2023 12:16

Minced beef cobbler, or cottage pie topped with crushed new potatoes and grated cheese. Both delicious and actually enjoyed by the whole family!

yikesanotherbooboo · 02/02/2023 12:24

Mince and mashed potatoes or chilli if plenty of time to stew the mince

This sounds lovely, going to try. We are used to using keema leftovers like this which sometimes taste better than the original. We can get straight to the good stuff this way.

I sometimes make the same recipe with noodles instead of rice

bussteward · 02/02/2023 12:38

• Nigella’s meatballs
• Burgers - don’t add anything except salt and pepper, shape lightly around an ice cube and poke an indentation in the top before frying

Tangfastic71 · 02/02/2023 12:47

Beef enchiladas
Beef pilaf
Ghoulash

This sounds lush! I buy turkey mince - do you reckon it would work with that?
