Lasagne. 100%
Or chilli.

Have recently discovered the joy of pork mince.... Amazing to do Thai or Chinese with.

BethDuttonsTwin · 02/02/2023 13:41

Lasagne. It’s the only thing I use mince for. Jamie Oliver does a lovely recipe with a layer of roasted butternut squash. It’s amazing.

Indiaplain · 02/02/2023 13:44

Jamie Oliver's beef hash always goes down well - we usually have it with jacket potatoes. It's from Jamie's 30 min meals.

Yesthatismychildsigh · 02/02/2023 13:48

Enchiladas. With loads of veg, too. Big favourite in my family.

Taco lasagne

Lazy version
Mince with taco spices, onions and peppers cooked as per packet
Layer tortilla, mince, salsa, cheese and final layer cheese. Shove in oven
Cut into wedges, serve with salad, guacamole and sour cream or whatever you want

Satay mince with noodles - used to cook this when young & skint & as the C.O.L.has returned most of us to the latter my dust this off again myself.

LindorDoubleChoc · 02/02/2023 13:51

Meatloaf. But I make it with a mixture of beef and pork mince.

CatOnTheChair · 02/02/2023 13:56

Yes, definitely works with Turkey mince.

With beef mince: empanadas, but you need to make a chimichurri sauce too. And homemade pastry. I only do it if someone else is cleaning up!

Making notes of these, I love mince dishes. Dp makes harissa potatoes, not sure of the recipe but delicious.

RedToothBrush · 02/02/2023 15:33

Google meatball dishes. You'll get a zillion and one different options - many of which you can use the same base for, prep and freeze.

We're obsessed with this recipe in our house:

www.slimmingeats.com/blog/one-pot-cheeseburger-pasta

I've adapted it slightly for tastes with everyone in the house so we don't use the fresh tomatoes at all (I add an extra tablespoon of tomato purée instead) and I've adjusted the seasonings a little (also adding a pinch of celery salt and half a teaspoon of smoked paprika). We use Hendos instead of Worcestershire sauce and don't add any sweetener at all. I leave out the pickles too and just add them on top of mine. I've made it with shredded leftover chicken instead of the mince at times too and even done it with half the amount of meat to make it go further. It's a pretty versatile recipe and DC who won't touch bolognese at all absolutely loves this.
