What's your favourite meal / dish / snack which you know is kind of weird /gross but you love it anyway?

I'll go first, mine is tinned chicken curry (any brand will do 😂)mixed with pasta , with grated cheese on top. I don't know why but I just love it!!

No judgement here, so tell me, what's yours??

Marmite pasta. Thank you, Nigella!

hbvf · 24/01/2023 19:40

Thai green curry (preferably a 'posh' ready made) with mashed potato (also preferably a ready made - not instant)
It's a really comfort food of mine too, don't think I'd admit this to anyone in teal life 🤣

Corned beef curry

Corned beed
Sweetcorn
English curry sauce

Chop, mix microwave

Serve with rice and naan

Laaaaaveley

DH says it looks like a seriously ill person voided in the bath from both ends 😂

Fine egg noodles cooked, then tossed with pataks balti paste and fried until lovely and crispy. Great with the addition of chicken too. I think it was a quick meal my mum tossed together when we were kids, but my siblings and I still recreate it frequently and was an absolute favourite.

Roasted veg (what Evers in the fridge), chilli, olive oil and masses of grated cheddar on top. I can get all 5 of my 5 a day in one light lunch.

ComeTheSpringLobelia · 24/01/2023 20:30

Mine is those bachelors dehydrated pasta and cheese packs with added tinned sweet corn.

ComeTheSpringLobelia · 24/01/2023 20:32

Oh and when i was a child I would fry chopped banana in loads of butter, then add honey and nutella then eat it out of the saucepan. I am sure in places like France they have a fancy name for this sort of thing and it comes with crepes.

I don't think I would eat it but thank you for making me cry laughing 😂

A peanut butter and cucumber sandwich with a sprinkle of chilli flakes.

MermaidEyes · 24/01/2023 20:44

One of those tubs of ready made mash you can stick in the microwave, with butter, cheese, sweetcorn and gravy. Yum. Mash is my comfort food.

You are very welcome. 😁😂

Slightly more tame would be. Tin of sweetcorn with chopped up cheese and salad cream all mixed together.

PicklesAndTequila · 24/01/2023 20:55

Spam fried rice.
It's one of my favourites but spam has massively gone up in price.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 24/01/2023 20:56

A peanut butter and cucumber sandwich with a sprinkle of chilli flakes.

I am definitely going to try this!

jay55 · 24/01/2023 22:19

Pasta with cheap sauce, pineapple and a load of cheese. Total student concoction that I still enjoy.

kateandme · 25/01/2023 06:15

Marmite and squirty cream on a scone.im sorry!!

goodmorningsunny · 25/01/2023 06:19

When me and my brother were younger we'd go to the super market and buy loads of tons of sweetcorn and have huge bowls of sweetcorn.

At the moment my fave weird food is dry super noodles/ instant noodles. No sauces, no water. Crunchy dry noodles as they come out of the packet. 🤤

swimmingincustard · 25/01/2023 06:52

Super noodles on toast, white toast with real butter. Sometimes with a tin of tuna.

JustAnotherMoan · 25/01/2023 11:26

Mashed potato, cheese, and pickled beetroot sandwich - so good
Cold, left over chile con carne on buttered white toast for breakfast

Chooba · 25/01/2023 11:28

Pasta and gravy.

In SE Asia they sell a kids snack called mamee which is just the dried ramen (may have been roasted?) and you sprinkle a seasoning sachet over them before eating. It's delicious!

Shgytfgtf111 · 25/01/2023 11:36

Baked beans, cheese, curry powder mixed with cooked rice. Its awesome.

In fact, Im going to have it for tea. Mmmm

evtheria · 25/01/2023 11:49
  • White rice mixed with a bit of bovril (adjust to how salty you like your food)
  • PB and mini marshmallow sandwich, I don't think it's weird but always get comments off others!
  • cup a soup (creamy chicken or veg with croutons) + half a packet microwave rice + packet of fridge raiders + pat of butter + lots of dill... I only make this when there's no one around to judge, because I cook all family meals from scratch!
paintitallover · 25/01/2023 16:10

A very thin scraping of marmalade over my peanut butter on toast.

whataplonka · 28/01/2023 00:31

one can tuna
one can condensed mushroom soup

Mix together and heat

serve on top of microwave rice with grated cheese on top.

Delicious!
