I’ll go first as an early doors delight from M&S -

Truffle filled Brie

Think it was £10 in store but I’ve seen it since on Ocado with 1/3 off.

IT’S GORGEOUS Grin

I think you may have got more traffic with the worst thing you've eaten!

Best thing for me was my homemade pigs in blankets, oh and morrisons stuffed turkey crown was gorgeous and the stuffing inside was surprisingly really tasty and could have stood alone!

I have to say I was disappointed with M&S pathetic excuse for stuffing parcels, they were vile and nobody ate them. Next year i hope shops get back proper pork, apple/cranberry stuffing trays instead of all the balls and parcels they have had his year. I don't want to have yet another thing to make as have young dc! I did manage to get one tray from tesco frozen with chestnuts so may cook that today for a second dinner or on new year (hopefully It'll be better).

Toasted chocolate stollen with dark chocolate spread and mixed berries - made an excellent breakfast!

Shehasadiamondinthesky · 26/12/2021 10:14

Mary Berrys nut roast was the best I ever made.
It was delicious.

Dozer · 26/12/2021 10:14

Mealie puddings.

Tesco Christmas pudding was excellent, really delicious.

It's not really Christmassy but we had an amazing brisket. Perfection Grin

ThePlumVan · 26/12/2021 10:37

@Blackmagicqueen haha I never thought of that - I’ll do it next year !

Chocolate, Caramel and Raspberry Yule Log filled with fresh cream.
I had to go to 2 branches of Dunnes Stores ( Ireland ) to get one as they were selling out. I got the last one in the 2nd shop.
Delicious Smile

M&S pork pie...was fabulous

Marzipan and white chocolate covered figs from Hotel Chocolat.

Roast potatoes and parsnips by DH.

Jamie Oliver's whole salmon cooked with fresh herbs and lemon was delicious. As was the trifle I've just had for breakfast.

PlanktonsComputerWife · 26/12/2021 11:06

Sainsbury's pigs in blankets- surprisingly nice.

Husband makes Nigellas gingerbread stuffing. It's the best thing every year. Even more so on a leftover butty.

But about to have Iceland's salted caramel Christmas tree cheesecake with the boxing day buffet. DD picked it, it looks soooo good and I'm really looking forward to it.

delilahbucket · 26/12/2021 11:14

BBC Good Food citrus gravadlax. Made it last year and decided to do it again this year.
Hotel Chocolat gingerbread truffle. The Clementine one is good too.
Sainsbury's Christmas chutney with brie.
Sainsbury's mini pies, two fillings, chicken and beef.
And just now, a cold roast potato with stuffing mayo 😂

lorisparkle · 26/12/2021 11:26

I loved the strawberry after eight mints.

LindaEllen · 26/12/2021 12:00

Nothing exciting but my dad made the most incredible roast potatoes this year. I carried on eating the extra ones when I was definitely too full to be doing that!

LindaEllen · 26/12/2021 12:01

WHAT.

I need to find myself some of these!

WithASpider · 26/12/2021 13:07

The gluten free Xmas cake DH made me. It's absolutely divine and the first one I've had in 3 years.

Blackmagicqueen · 26/12/2021 15:22

@LindaEllen they were in b&m’s along with the orange and mojito ones. I got dh some, he liked them but the orange variety won his favourite vote!

Blackmagicqueen · 26/12/2021 15:24

@LindaEllen do you know what potato variety your dad used? I am finding getting decent ones hard atm, it doesn’t matter how well cooked they are either it is the potato variety.

MrsLeclerc · 26/12/2021 15:31

M&S Black Forest Gateau was delicious. The chocolate cake was almost like a light brownie. It had chocolate cream and cherry sauce in the middle and cream, lots of chocolate curls and cherries on top.

I’m a bit of a Black Forest gateau aficionado and it’s one of the best I’ve ever eaten.

I make Jamie Oliver’s get ahead gravy every year and as always it’s the best.

FreezerBird · 26/12/2021 16:16

I had a pigs in blankets sandwich for lunch today. Would recommend.

The leftovers are the best bit of Christmas food.

lorisparkle · 26/12/2021 19:30

I think I got the strawberry after eights in Lidl. They were amazing!!!

TwinkleToppy · 27/12/2021 13:34

Came to say Brie with truffle too. Flaming day light robbery but it is amazing!
